  2. You can see crocodiles in all tropical countries in Africa, Asia, the Americans and Australia. They live in swamps or on river banks. Crocodiles can live on the land and in the water.

  3. Crocodiles are reptiles so they have scaly skin.They have got sharp teeth, short legs and a strong tail.

  4. Their teeth aren’t for chewing, just for holding onto food.

  5. The tail can be used to push a crocodile straight up out of the water to grab some poor bird sitting on a low brunch.

  6. The tail also makes them good swimmers.You can see the nostrils and eyes above the water.

  7. Crocodiles eat almost anything, but they prefer meat. Fruit and vegetables aren’t their favourite food.Crocodiles hunt at night.

  8. They have a body length 2,5 – 5 meters and they weigh between 500 – 1200 kg.

  9. Crocodiles lay eggs (from 20 up to 100) in the sand or under the leaves in September – December.

  10. Crocodiles live up to 80 – 100 years.

  11. Crocodile leather can be made into goods such as wallets, handbags, belts, hats and shoes.
