  2. For the past few weeks I’ve been studying the Nile crocodile. In the coming few pages I will tell you the main facts about the Nile crocodile. For example how it looks, where it lives, how it survives, what it eats, its enemy, and a few interesting facts.

  3. Physical Description

  4. Habitat • Do you now in what country the Nile crocodile lives in? The Nile crocodile mostly lives in Egypt and other countries surrounding Egypt. In the Nile crocodiles habitat you can see rocks, poisonous trees, and birds for example cranes. The Nile crocodile survives in its habitat because it looks like log to catch its prey.

  5. Defense • Do you now how a Nile crocodile protects itself? A Nile crocodile looks like a log to protect itself from enemies or it glides under water to be safe. Gliding under water makes it out of sight for predators.

  6. Prey • Snap! Slurp! The Nile crocodile swallows a wild dog. The Nile crocodile eats twelve animals. I will tell you three of the Nile crocodiles prey which are fish, turtles, and, raccoons. The Nile crocodile has different ways to kill its prey. Amazingly, the Nile crocodile has favorites and not so favorites. The Nile crocodile can not eat for a whole week!

  7. Predators Crackle, crackle, crackle… a predator is coming! A Nile crocodile has four predators which are bears, skunks, lizards, and hippos. Bears hunt crocodiles’ eggs and babies for food. Skunks hunt eggs for food. Lizards hunt babies for food. Hippos attack Nile crocodile grown ups because Nile crocodiles hunt baby hippos for food.

  8. Interesting Facts • Do you now anything interesting about the Nile crocodile? I will tell you. First I will tell you that a Nile crocodile can nap under water when it breathes air !And Nile crocodiles don’t chew their food. They swallow it hole. In Africa some people call the Nile crocodile the killer that smiles when it kills because the Nile crocodiles jaws are shaped like a smile.

  9. In conclusion, I know there is more you want to learn but I told you almost every thing about the Nile crocodile. I hope you can learn some extra details that I did not tell you about the Nile crocodile on your own.
