Messzelátó Association • Their mission is to build a community which is sensitive to environmental and ecological problems. • It’s a green association, which teaches young students to respect and protect the environment • The association makes his own products like paper plates, lip gloss and shopping bags. • There are 20 principal members and 700 volunteers

  3. In Hungary it’s one of the most active green organization (NGO) • Everything in their offices (for example: furniture, IT equipment) made from recycled, reconditioned instruments available • The employees use bicycles or public transport

  4. Those girls work with environment and sustainable urban living • Pictures of what they made: bowl, made from old magazines handmade soap

  5. ”The 50 -km diet” • Transportation within the area of 50 kms • Cheaper • This supports local farming

  6. There’s a peer-tutor group in the school who is interested in different social topics such as: the environment and recycling. • We invited the representatives of Messzelátó (NGO) to meet the group. • 2 young girls came to our school to introduce the activity of NGO and voluntary work.

  7. The EVS • European Voluntary Service • Youth mobility programme • 2 to 12 months • No qualifications required • Wide range of areas (culture, sport, environment, social care, youth, arts…) • European Union founded project for young people (ages 18 to 30)

  9. Youcantravelto: • All EU countries • Turkey, Balkan countries • Eastern Europe countries (Russia, Ukraine, Georgia…) • Mediterranean countries (Israel, Egypt…)

  10. EVS is free and you receive - free accomodation and food - insurance - pocket money • Just volunteers can join this organization

  11. Advantages: • Discover something new (culture, country, people…) • Learn about yourself • Opportunity to learn a new language • Learn new skills Disadvantages: • Away from home • It can be a challenge to make new friends • The langage barriers and culture shock
