  2. Review of AIR 5493 Purpose • To review AIR 5493 and make recommendations to restructure/improve the document. Members Colin Clarke (Lead) Bombardier Aerospace Hollie Last SCC Carl Blazik IAAR Shanya Salamaca RABQSA

Project Output: • Draft Auditor Competency document (5493-1) presented at January 2005 RMC meeting • Comments provided by membership and incorporated • Further discussion at March 2005 RMC meeting • Document posted for comment on SAE Forum in April 2005 • Document forwarded to EAQG and some comments received May 2005 • Document updated June 2005 • Document forwarded to APAQG for comment • Comments not yet received

  4. Comments • Several comments provided by RMC • Review Request of AIR5493 Rewrite Documents.htm • Some Issues to discuss: • Standard of work experience for AIEA and AEA • Witness audits for AEA but not AIEA • Inclusion of Personal attributes • Need for both AEA and AIEA

  5. Comments from EAQG (Gualtiero Arsento) • Introduction of term Auditor Authentication Body • Removal of AS 9003 • Reference ISO 17021 instead of ISO/IEC Guide 62 • Changed name of training courses (back to the old names)

  6. Other changes • Some of the RMC comments have been addressed • Expansion of section for Oversight of CRB AQMS activities • Inclusion of section to address AAB sub-contracting of auditor authentication process

  7. Next Steps • RMC to provide input re: comments received • EAQG comments and RMC comments • Documents to be updated to consider RMC comments • Liaise with 5359 re-write team • Further comments from EAQG and APAQG to be provided and incorporated • Out for comment in the Americas! • Bring final version forward to IAQG by Fall 2005
