Dealing with Distractions Mom is Distracted by Closely Scheduled Appointments • Offer to reschedule appointment • Let mom know how long the appointment will be and adhere appropriately • Provide overview of the appointment so mom knows what to expect • Put a reminder in the system to alert staff to remind mom of the length of the appointment to avoid future scheduling conflicts.
