Why CSR matters to YOUR company • Local businesses face stiff competition from both within Thailand and abroad • Business are no longer expected to make just money and create jobs, but also expected to contribute to society • Majority of big companies turn to CSR to strengthen their images • Strong brand image in turn increases customers and revenues

HOWEVER… • Many of the elements required to build successful CSR programme fall outside the skills and knowledge of business people • Hiring a CSR specialist is costly • Many local companies resort to simply donate money to charity foundations, without control of how the money is spent, how it will benefit people in need, and forgetting benefit that the company can gain from the donation

Bangkok Charity Orchestra • The Bangkok Charity Orchestra (BCO) is Thailand’s first and only non-profit orchestra that is set up with the charitable purpose to raise funds for charities as well as to raise awareness about classical music in Thailand • Our musicians consist of active players from a diverse background who share a common passion to seek excellence in music making and use their skills to make positive difference to the society

Our Aims • To support well respected charities • We aim to raise funds to help the under privileged and those who are suffering. • Emphasize the importance of CSR within companies • We aim to assist companies in Thailand with their CSR initiatives. • To promote classical music in Thailand • We aim to provide opportunities for both professionals and students in Bangkok to perform to a high standard as well as to establish networks through music-making while building awareness of their relatively privileged place in the society.
