SLC MeetingProposal Status • Comments on version 1 were incorporated. • Version 1.5 was discussed with the focus group on Monday. • All changes, except the rewrite of the mini-grants, were included in version 2. • Version 2 was distributed to the working group on Tuesday. • Comments on version 2 are due on Thursday. • Version 3 will be distributed on Friday.

SLC MeetingRole of the investigators. • PI: overall responsibility for the management of the project. • Steering Committee: • Composed of the co-PIs and one additional representative from each of the collaborating institutions. • Meet with the PI on a bi-weekly basis to ensure that the catalyst effort remains focused. • Review the mini-grant proposals and select the proposals to be funded. • Advisory Committee: • Composed of (the PI/co-PIs and) the senior investigators. • Will provide advice and feedback when requested by the PI or the Steering Committee. • Will select the topics of the conferences and workshops and participate in organizing these meetings. • Will participate in recruiting new members of the RASLC constituency.

SLC MeetingProposal: Missing Items • Proposal: • Contribution from Nazareth for Appendix A. • Section on the results of prior NSF support (need this information of all PI/co-PIs for the last 5 years. • References. • Project summary. • Other documentation: • Letters of support from RIT (should arrive on Wednesday or Thursday) and Nazareth. • Commitment (in terms of man-months per year) for each investigator. • Current and pending support for other projects (not just NSF).

SLC MeetingProposal: Missing Items • Current and pending support: • For each investigator we need to add information about current and pending support. • Information required: • Project/Proposal Title • Source of Support • Project Location • Total Award • Starting and Ending Date • Support type (current or pending) • Person-months per year committed to the project

SLC MeetingTimeline • Wednesday 7/30: • Regular Wednesday meeting to review new version of the proposal and collect final comments. • Thursday 7/31: • Final comments due • Proposal send of sign-off to the Dean’s office (note: budget needs to be final, text does not have to be final). • Friday 8/1: Final version to working group • Monday 8/4: Final comments due • Tuesday 8/5: Proposal submitted • Wednesday 8/6: Start worrying about NYSTAR
