OSCr Online – Benefits • Reporting will be easier • Quicker way to submit your information • View and update your details at any time • Overall cost, time, efficiency and environmental benefits for charities and their advisers • Receive email reminders, and notifications when your information has been updated
OSCrOnline – Scottish charities are ready for change • Online services now the norm – PAYE, shopping • Our research demonstrates 50-60% are ready to file online immediately • Email address for nearly 80% • 29% Scottish population do not access the internet; but only 13% of charity trustees surveyed used the internet infrequently or never • This is very encouraging and presents Scottish charities positively in terms of internet literacy
OSCr Online – How to get ready • Check your Register entry online www.oscr.org.uk • Keep your principal contact details up to date – name, email, phone number • Trustee duties – start thinking about how your charity could file online, and those involved
OSCr Online – When will it launch? • We will not announce a launch date until the system is ready • September charity pilot testing: • Feedback focussing on making the system clear and easy to use • Formal testing later in the year
