  3. Habitat of a roundworm • in humans, plants and animals • saltwater and freshwater • in muddy places • live on land and water • found between polar regions and tropical regions

  4. What do roundworms eat? • bacteria • fungi • food found in soil • some eat blood from humans

  5. How roundworms find their food • when animals eat them they have an easy trail to food • they search through the soil • look in the water

  6. How roundworms protect themselves • if something eats a roundworm they will get a very bad disease. This could kill the predator.

  7. Interesting facts • a roundworm can lay up to 200,000 eggs a day for at least 10 months • There are 12,000 species of roundworms • another name for roundworms are nematodes • roundworm eggs live in the soil • roundworms are parasites • can range from microscopic size to 3 feet long
