  2. What to Plant? • Different climates support different types of plants! • Tropical areas grow plants that do well in warm, moist areas • Colder areas grow plants that do well with little rain and won’t be killed by frosts • Some areas have a better climate for planting than others

  4. What Zone Are We In? • Raleigh is located in Zone 7B • We can grow many different types that are between very tropical and very cold temperatures

  5. When To Plant? • The internet has many different charts that tell when the best times to plant are • A time zone is usually given based on the date of the last frost or the soil temperature
