  3. Our journey so far L.B of Brent wish to work with us: Opening up the world of Transportation and Highways and consultancy skills for the unemployed

  4. Our Journey so far Setting up of Think Tank with government agencies including; LDA, GLA, IdEA, G.O.L, OGC, London Councils, TfL, DWP, Capital Ambition, private sector, local authorities – to pool ideas to tackle unemployment.

  5. Our Journey so far Put in bid for Future Jobs Fund

  7. Our Journey so far 971 new jobs with 80 partners (local authorities, police, NHS, housing associations, private sector, environmental organisations e.t.c.)

  8. Our Journey so far Bid failed – Amnick financially too small for £7.5m bid Into partnership with Bid submitted Feb 2010 – programme closed by new coalition government

  10. Working and supporting our communities Making better use of our local resources: Buildings (schools, businesses, religious establishments) People (unemployed, old, young, mums, disabled e.t.c.) Integrating these into Community Hubs to deliver

Opportunities – of Community Hubs Training and work skills for unemployed Teaching old people how to use technology Supporting school children with reading and writing skills (Saturday and lunch time classes) Getting people into sports and fitness Healthy eating/lifestyle Environmental projects

  13. Benefits Work experience for out of work graduates Social projects started for the local community Funding brought in for the college 22 out of 57 people have gone on into paid work

  15. Share and Support Campaign • Supporting local authorities to work more closely with each other • Sharing of ideas, knowledge and experience • Bringing in the private sector to add to value chain • Developing work experience programmes to help the communities

  26. Success to date Acknowledgement from Ministers – meetings at Houses of Parliament (Norman Baker, Maria Eagle e.t.c) 30 out of 33 London Boroughs have engaged in the campaign Discussions opening up with DfT, BPA, London Councils e.t.c. to develop this campaign further
