  1. QUEENS COUNTY CHAPTER ONLINE OCTOBER 2010, VOLUME XXVIII, NO. 2Official Publication of the Queens County ChapterInternational Association of Administrative Professionals Queens County Chapter Officers 2010-2012 Dear Members, In case you missed the article in the September issue of Connections, IAAP raised and donated $4,650 to the Boston Food Bank! What a great way to show Boston that we appreciated their hospitality. The funds were collected by IAAP prior to EFAM in order for attendees to reserve a table at the banquet. This is a tribute to the members of IAAP and the power we possess to do good works. Some of our members feel that we are constantly fundraising for one good cause or another. We, the Board, have kept this in mind. We have our usual fund raising events (tonight is one for RTF) however we are always trying to keep the “asking for money” to a minimum. Jennie Barchet, CPS/CAP, New York State Division President, recently sent an email asking all NYSD Presidents to devise a fundraiser to augment the funds for the 2011 Annual Meeting. Although the Board is trying to keep the Chapter’s fundraising to a minimum, this is an issue we will have to discuss. This is a plea from our Division and we cannot ignore it. I hope to be able to present our ideas to the membership at the November meeting. As we move into the fall months ahead I hope you all have a chance to appreciate nature’s vistas and enjoy the Fall Colors Connie Lanci CPS/CAP, President
