what is the respiratory system
What is the Respiratory System?

what is the function of the respiratory system
What is the function of the Respiratory System?
  • The Respiratory System is useful in processes like Respiration, Vocalization, Cough Production.
  • Cellular Respiration is the process where energy – rich molecules such as glucose are converted into energy.
  • The respiratory system is important for respiration because it breaks the glucose down.

Oxygen + Glucose  Energy

  • Vocalization is the process that enables humans to speak and to make sound. When the air passes through the pharynx and larynx, it makes the vocal cords in the larynx to vibrate. The vibration helps in production of sound and speech in humans.
cells present in the respiratory system
Cells present in the Respiratory System

  • Ciliated Simple Columnar Epithelial Cells: Found in the nose.
