Ordering Products • Our Supplier: Vistar(sometimes Costco) • How to Order: Email – our rep (srivera@pfc.com) and azisales@pfgc.com • Account Number • Products, Product #, and Quantity • Must be at least $500 for free delivery • Try not to go over $1,000 • Order Date: Tuesday • Order Deliver: Thursday between 2-4 Period

Receiving PRoduct • Delivery Driver arrives with merchandise • Provides a list of items ordered (order list) • We unload from a pallet and place inside. • Must be fairly fast • Count items to make sure they match items on order list • If everything is there, I sign and he can go. • If something is missing, I let him know. • Ice cream must be placed in the Freezer Immediately.

  5. Inventory • Items are stored in a manner known as: • First in, First Out • This assures that older product goes out first and there is less of a chance that items will expire • Plastic containers are used for two reasons • Old rodent problem • Easy Stocking/restocking

  6. Inventory Data (Two Store Managers) • Anytime we receive orders… • Must place information in a spreadsheet • We must know how much we started with.

  7. Treasurer and 1 Store Manager • Keeps track of cash deposits and money being paid out of DECA account • Information kept on a spreadsheet (Google Drive)

  8. Counting Money!!! • Know prices of items ($.25, $.50, $1.00, $1.50, $2.00) • Try not to accept bills that are $10 or higher because they drain us of $1s. • $20’s….Only if you have enough change to get you through the lunch • Check $10s and $20s. Check $5s if you are suspicious. • Nothing over $20. • Count money backwards!!
