  1. Physics Final Review 7. Below is a graph of the relationship between scholarship awards and the effort students exerted trying to win scholarships. a. Write the mathematical expression that states the relationship described by the graph. (2 pts.) b. What does the y-intercept illustrate? (2 pts.) c.Using the mathematical model, how many applications would be needed to earn $8000? (2 pts.)

  2. Physics Final Review Perform the indicated operations. Express you answers with the correct number of significant figures and with the proper units. (2 pts. Each) (1.421 g +0.4372 g + 0.0241 g) (0.14 mL +1.2243 mL – 0.011 mL)

  3. Physics Final Review a) Compare the starting positions for A, B, and C. b) Compare the velocities for A, B, and C. c) Compare the displacements for A, B, and C from t = 0 to t = 10 sec. d) Explain what crossings x and y represent.

  4. Physics Final Review • Zac and Josh went deer hunting. Zac spotted what he thought was a deer and told Josh to shoot. When he shot the rifle the bullet left the muzzle with a velocity of 521 m/s. While accelerating through the barrel of the rifle, the bullet moves a distance of 0.840 m. Determine the acceleration of the bullet. (Assume uniform acceleration and by the way it wasn’t a deer it was actually a panda bear and who would shoot a cute, cuddly panda bear. (3 points)

  5. Physics Final Review Use your understanding of force relationships and vector components to fill in the blanks in the following diagram and to determine the net force and acceleration of the object. (10 points)

  6. Physics Final Review • A car is traveling along a snow covered road when a deer crosses its’ path. In a mad rush to avoid crashing into the deer and dampening everyone’s mood, the driver swerves to the right to miss the deer and ends up launching itself off of a 25° snow embankment at a velocity of 60 mph. • What is the initial horizontal velocity component of the car? • b. What is the initial vertical velocity component of the car? • c. How long is the car airborne if it travels a horizontal distance of 15m?
