Bladder Accumulator

It is a hydro pneumatic accumulator having pliant bladder as a separation element between operating fluid and compressible gas cushion. The bladder filled with the nitrogen and fitted in a welded vessel. They are cost effective and compatible with lubricity fluids. They comprises of either a welded or mould pressure vessel. The essential requirements of bladder accumulator are: the accumulator shell materials should consist stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel; etc.The nominal value should between 0.5 to 1I.Standard elastomer that used in bladder accumulator are NBR, ECO, FKM (FPM), IIR.There are lots of advantages of it required low maintenance, no pressure differential between fluid side and gas side and many more.

  1. Bladder accumulator are very good kind of accumulator. They are useful for storing energy under pressure; humidity pump pulsation, flow fluctuations and absorbing shocks. It is a hydro pneumatic accumulator having pliant bladder as a separation element between operating fluid and compressible gas cushion. The bladder filled with the nitrogen and fitted in a welded vessel. They are cost effective and compatible with lubricity fluids. They comprises of either a welded or mould pressure vessel. Another kind of accumulator is a Diaphragm Accumulator it contain fluids and gases. There is a separate fluid section and gas section with the diaphragm acting as the gas proof screen into it. The diaphragm accumulators based on the principle using nitrogen as a compressible medium as used by hydraulic accumulators for storing fluids. The requirements of Diaphragm Accumulator are: they also using the same accumulator shell materials. There nominal values are in the range between 0.075 to 4I.The standard elastomer that used into it are NBR, ECO, IIR, etc.The permitted operating pressure in between 40 to 750 bar. It requires low maintenance and long service life. The Diaphragm type accumulator consists of diaphragm secured with a shell and elastic medium between the oil and the gas. It has flexible bladder which acts as a separation element between compressible gas cushion and operating fluid. It is the small weight to volume ratio which makes it highly suitable for airborne applications. Its specifications are pressure up to 750 bars. The nominal volume in between 0.0.75 to 5 ltr.The accumulator shell material consist carbon, steel, stainless steel. Diaphragm elastomer that used in it is ethylene oxide, Viton, Butyl, etc. Another type of accumulator is bladder type accumulator they used to store excess energy and releases it when needed. It is a pressure storage reservoir has non-compressible fluid in it. It required low maintenance and flanged fluid ports for connection to manifold block. The specifications of bladder type accumulator are it required pressure up to 1000 bar. Its nominal value in between 0.5 to 450 ltr.The flow rate is up to 100//s.The bladder type of accumulator required shell material like carbon steel, stainless steel, and etc.The bladder elastomer included epichlorohydrin (ECO), perbunan (PBR), and etc.It is designed for high pressure hydraulic systems. It used to respond more quickly to temporary demand .It comprises of a welded or forged pressure vessel, bladder, rubber and valves at the gas and the fluid connection. In bladder type of accumulator due to compressibility of nitrogen, the accumulator enables to stock, store and return liquid under pressure. It is used in modern hydraulic system in the nitrogen gas. The EHV bladder is available in carbon and stainless steel.
