Definition of Respect Reviewed • DEFINITION:RESPECT is a positive feeling of high regard for others, their beliefs, their culture or a concept, such as learning; a specific feeling of friendship, worth, or politeness, an attitude of admiration; valuing or honoring others, civility or a show of concern or service toward others; empathy; the golden rule.

Behaviors that show RESPECT in YOUR classroom: POSSIBLE Responses may include…. • Being on time • Coming prepared to learn • Dressing for success • Encouraging, helping & supporting others • Listening & paying attention • Working to your highest standards • Using scholarly language • Collaborating with others

Definition of Eastview Scholar Reviewed • DEFINITION:  A SCHOLAR is a student who learns or takes up knowledge or beliefs; a person who is engaged in the pursuit of learning; a person of literary or scientific attainments; an educated person; a lifelong learner; a person whose purpose is to contribute to the betterment of society.
