Proyecto VideoLan • Emisión/recepción de streaming: MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, DVD,…. • Formado por: • Servidor. • Cliente. • Aplicaciones: servidor de canales, Servidor de SAP. • Software multiplataforma en el cliente (windows, linux,…) • Servidor bajo Linux. • Permite difusión en directo (capturadora) y de fichero. • Soporta distribución en unicast y multicast. • http://www.videolan.org

  3. Gatekeeper • Introducción: • Gatekeeper: es una entidad H.323 que ofrece servicios de traslación de direcciones, control de acceso para terminales H.323, gateways y MCUs. • Zona: es un conjunto de nodos H.323 (terminales, gateways, MCUs) registrados en un gatekeeper.

Piloto Red nacional de Gatekeeper • Creación de una red nacional (jerárquica) de gatekeeper dentro de la comunidad RedIRIS. • Conexión con la jerarquía Europea (TERENA). • Definición de zonas por organismo afiliado a RedIRIS. • Busqueda de “voluntarios” para: • establecer calendario • plan de numeración, • pruebas • consideraciones de seguridad. • elaboración de una “mini guía”.

Piloto Red Nacional de Gatekeeper II Pasos: • Instalación de Gatekeeper (HW/SW) • CISCO (36xx, 72xx), RadVision, OpenGatekeeper • IOS con soporte H.323 (CISCO) • Ej: 3620 (IOS 12.2 (16)) • Configuración (Gatekeeper, clientes H.323) • Definición de zonas locales y remotas • Pruebas de interoperabiliad interna/externa
