  2. The Basics of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Safety Eyewear • Must be stamped ANSI Z87 • Gloves • To protect against injury • Blisters • Sharp objects, Kevlar knit • Neoprene coatings for grip • Sun Protection • Wide brim headwear • Long sleeves

  3. Basics of PPE • Insects • Repellant • Netting • Clothing • Fall Protection • Guardrails • Walking working surfaces • Housekeeping • Hearing Protection • Ear Plugs or Ear Muffs or both

  4. Basics of PPE • Seat Belts • ROPS (with seat belt) • Rollover Protection Structure • Roll Bars • If no ROPS or Roll Bar then • NO SEAT BELT • Has anyone here rolled a piece of equipment?

  5. Training for PPE • Any and all equipment training should include PPE • When to use it. • How much protection it gives you. • Proper wear and fit. • PPE is your last line of defense • Do everything possible to avoid the injury PPE is trying to prevent.
