Future Engineer Passionate about Alternative Fuel Technologies at Penn State

As a Mechanical Engineering student at Penn State, I am exploring ways to harness energy from alternative fuel sources. My goal is to contribute to the electric car industry by enhancing energy output from sources like electrical and hydro cells. Penn State offers great labs and clubs for me to pursue my interests. Beyond engineering, I enjoy sports, traveling, and supporting teams like the Orioles.

  1. Daniel Gaddes Hi, I am Dan. I am currently enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Department here at Penn State.

  2. Why I choose Engineering • I am interested in developing ways to produce energy from alternative fuels sources • I would like to have a career in the electric car industry.

  3. Alternative Fuels • Electrical and Hydro cells are two of the more popular types of alternative energy for cars. • I would like work on improving the output of energy from these sources so they can be more practical and widely used.

  4. Interest at Penn State • Penn State has many interesting labs and clubs in these fields such as the Eco Car Competition and the Electrochemical Engine Center.

  5. Interests outside of Engineering • I am a big fan of sports my favorites teams generally being from Baltimore and of course Penn State • I like to travel, particularly to New England to hike and ski. Orioles Park at Camden Yards
