  1. The Chest of Caknazak By OWLS CLASS June 2013

  2. Chapter 1 Found By Owls Class All her instincts screamed at her to hide the book and herself before she was spotted, but it was too late. She was caught. Normally no one ventured behind the shimmering curtain of water into the secret, mysterious cave apart from her. It was her refuge from the world, torrents of glittering water plummeted hiding her from everyone including her teachers from whom she had escaped yet again. However there in her cave was a man. His beard covered so much of his face, that she could only just see his piercing jet black eyes and his wrinkled, gnarled forehead. Wrapped in a tatty, faded, olive, floor length cloak, he gazed in amazement at the gold embossed unicorn covered leather book, which she clutched close to her chest. Her heart pounded, feeling as if it wanted to burst out of her ribs. Still he stood, eyes transfixed on the cover of the book. Truly she hadn’t stolen the book, only borrowed it. It was just lying under the shelf unwanted covered in dust and cobwebs, until she had polished the front cover no one had seen the unicorn for centuries. But now under his piercing gaze, fear settled on her like dark icy fingers. “The key, that book is my key. The key to the ‘Chest of Caknazak’ lost for longer than time itself. The single, most important object in the whole wide universe, the key to the chest of magic!” Confused Frazz just stood, mouth wide open, disbelieving everything that she had heard. ”What did you call my book?” she mumbled.

  3. “Let me start by introducing myself. I am the Wizard of Caknazak, keeper of the world’s magic or at least I was until I lost my chest. Since that dreadful day I have wandered all the lands of many kingdoms searching, searching for you.” Even more confused Frazz stuttered, “Me, you’ve been looking for me, but why?” “Somehow you found the key book and therefore you and only you must complete the quest and find my magic chest.” “But how can I complete a quest? I’m an orphan school girl, nothing special or important. I’m not strong or brave and I don’t want to be a heroine. I want to be left alone, here away from everyone.” Slowly the wizard swept his hand through the crystal clear air over the shimmering curtain of water. Amazingly images appeared as if by magic, Frazz stared in wonderment and watched an evil, slimy troll with gleaming red eyes stomping heavily destroying an innocent village. Again the wizard swept his hand and the images vanished. “Frazz, without you that is the fate of the whole world. Ogla the troll king will continue his evil destruction, until the chest is returned to me by you and I can use the magic stored inside it to imprison him for eternity.” “Do I have a choice?” Frazz asked. “Yes, either take the quest or see all you know, your village, your kingdom destroyed for ever.” “That’s no choice. I must take the quest to help you defeat Ogla and save the world. Although I don’t think, I stand much chance of succeeding.” “Believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything, after all you found the key when no one else could. I will help you when I can, listen for my voice in the wind.”

  4. Again slowly the wizard swept this hand through the crystal clear air over the shimmering curtain of water. This time rather than images, the glistening water started to swirl like the top of a tornado. Suddenly a portal to the outside world appeared. “Step through the portal to begin your quest,” the wizard announced, pleased that she had agreed. “Through tha..ttt! I’ll fall to my death.” “Have faith the portal will transport you to the crossroads, where your quest will begin.” Tentatively Frazz took a tiny shaky step and then another and finally in fear stepped into the portal. Landing with a thump she looked up from the dusty road to see a signpost. Which direction did she choose? NORTH EAST SOUTH WEST

  5. Chapter 2 North By Aimee and Callum Staring at the four different paths, Frazz thought for a bit, and then chose north, as she lived in the North. Curiously, Frazz walked along the pebbly road, when suddenly a mist descended, with Frazz having trouble seeing the path. As quick as you could blink, an uninhabited forest came into sight. Looking to her right, Frazz saw a golden star engraved on a knotted tree. Crystal snowflakes sprinkled the ground like a white dust. Out of nowhere, a gnome appeared, riding a dragon, “Hello, I’m a riddle person. I will help you if you can complete this! I’m 30 centimetres tall To you that might be small Two pencils are about my size On a cheeky meter I’m quite wize What am I?” Asked the gnome. Frazz stared at the gnome in amazement. She wondered how he, a gnome not much taller than a mushroom, could think of a riddle as confusing as that. Biting her lip, Frazz opened the book to see if it had anything to do with riddles. Making her stop in her tracks was exactly the same riddle as the gnome had told her! “I was the person who came up with that riddle. I let him look at the riddle,” whispered a voice, which she recognized as the wizards. Smiling, she almost went past the answer. “A pixie” Frazz answered.

  6. Staring at her, the gnome shouted “How did you know that! This is the hardest riddle in the universe! Not even the gnome king, who is the most intelligent gnome, knows the answer! More riddles will be back. My friends will do them!” Opening up the book, the riddle page was gone, replaced with a part of a map. Another path was shown, the next part of her quest. Realising that this would help her, she followed the map. Only just then she turned a corner to be in front of a wooden hut with four doors, Ash, Oak, Elm and Thorn, all with sticky moss in front of the doors! Stepping inside the wood disappeared. There was no turning back now. Which door did she choose? ASH THORN ELM OAK

  7. Chapter 2 East Walk through waterfall By Rosie Sinclair and Luc Baxter After picking a direction, Frazz slowly walked east down the dirt path, and gradually the scene started to change. It was as if she was travelling through time. As she continued strolling down the path the trees started changing colour. First mustard yellow then it was ginger orange and finally there was a mix of flame red and maroon. “What’s happening?” Frazz thought as she walked through the crisp golden leaves and she felt a cold breeze skid against her face. In the distance she could see a small black figure which she thought was an elf, but as she crept slowly towards the black figure it turned out to be a… HOBGOBLIN and it said in a squeaky voice. “You cannot pass until you solve my riddle.” Yum, Yum in my tum, I can fly, Here I come, I might come by, Who am I? He confidently said. “She will never get it.”

  8. Eventually after thinking Frazz walked off in to the distance. A minute later she came back and told the Hobgoblin the answer. “Is it a dragon?” Frazz squeaked in a high croaky pitched voice. In surprise the Hobgoblin said, “Yes!” and slowly gave Frazz a key. The Hobgoblin announced “Walk through the waterfall and you will end up by some doors.” Frazz saw the key and it had a number on it so she wrote the number which was…III IV VII V, and a piece of shimmering gold map appeared in the book. After staring at the piece of map show up, she walked through the glistening wake waterfall and ended up in a breath taking big building, right in front of her she could see four doors. Which one did she choose? OAK ELM ASH THORN

  9. Chapter 2 South By Lily and Charlie Considering for a while she came to a decision and headed south. As she walked, she clutched the book to her chest. Suddenly Frazz felt baking and strangely felt smooth sand touching the tip of her socks. Suddenly she realised that she was in a huge desert, stranded alone. Trudging along the sand watching the shimmering blue sky, Frazz heard a little flittering noise coming from around the corner. Suddenly, Frazz turned to see a beautiful sand fairy, flying around her head. The fairy stopped in front of her, about to tell her something! “I am pink with a twirl at one end and an oink at the other. What am I?”

  10. Frazz had an idea in her mind and let it out straight away. “Are you a pig?” she replied. “I am, you may go on your quest. When you have strolled at least half a mile, open your magic book.” Understanding what she was to do, Frazz stumbled onwards. About half an hour later she had strolled a mile and reached the shade of a palm tree, so she could rest. As she did so she opened her magic book, just like the fairy had instructed her to do. Inside she found a piece of map, she was amazed. “What has this map got to do with magic?” Suddenly she felt a gust of warm wind blowing across her face and heard a voice. “It is me, the Wizard of Caknazak. I said I would talk to you through the wind, if you needed my help. Follow the piece of map and you will meet your destiny,” immediately the wind stopped. Frazz followed the map correctly which led here to a building, Frazz went inside to find 4 doors each having a title . But which did she choose? OAK ASH THORN ELM

  11. Chapter 2 West By Eleanor and Jodie. After a while of wondering which direction to choose, Frazz finally chose west. “Or should I go north, how about east? No, maybe south? I don’t know!“ Suddenly a gust of wind blow, almost knocking Frazz over completely! “What was that?” Frazz asked confused. Then it hit her, she remembered what the Wizard had said to her, “Listen for my voice in the wind.” But there was no sound in the wind. Frazz thought there could be a sign. She had it! The wind was blowing from east to west which must mean that she had to go west! “Ok I’ll go west then.” So west she strolled. Finally after only half a mile, the dusty road turned into beautiful emerald green grass. Along the side of the grass there were hundreds of glorious flowers. Bottle green, lavender purple, cherry red, and rose pink flowers blooming everywhere. Lush, fresh green trees stood tall and proud. Frazz walked on for a while, until she came to an arched wooden bridge. The bridge looked old and frail, but Frazz thought that she would be able to cross it. Slowly Frazz stepped onto the old, wooden bridge. She took one more careful step onto the bridge. Suddenly something small flew up from under the bridge. “What do you think you are doing on my bridge!” screamed the little creature.

  12. “I am on a quest,” Frazz answered, “who are you a little creature?” “I am a river fairy, you are not to pass this bridge until you answer this riddle,” shouted the river fairy. Frazz stared at the fairy flabbergasted. After a while Frazz finally started to speak. “What is the riddle?” questioned Frazz What can’t you see, What can’t you feel, What can’t you touch, What can’t you taste, What can’t you hear, But helps you live? The river fairy said confidently. After two minutes Frazz had it, “That’s easy!” Frazz said “its air!” The fairy was angry, “Correct, how did you guess that? Anyway you may pass, I can’t believe it!” said the river fairy. Frazz walked on through the woods, until she heard a voice calling for her. Although she couldn’t see anyone! “Frazz it’s me the Wizard I need to tell you something, are you there?” Frazz then remembered what the Wizard said, it was the wind! “Yes I’m here Wizard!” Frazz replied, “Open the book and let the wind low it!” the Wizard replied. So Frazz did just that,

  13. As Fazz opened the book, a gust of wind blew the book out of Frazz’s hands and onto the the path. Frazz picked up the book off the ground, to find a page of the book had fallen out the book. Frazz picked up the piece of folded paper, and unfolded it. Printed on the piece of paper was a map showing different paths, leading to pictures of keys. On the edge of the map was some words, it read; keep on walking until you see a mansion, go inside then you should fing four doors choose one and enter. Faintly in the distance Frazz could see a building, so as fast as she could she ran towards it… At last Frazz arrived at the tall, dark building. “This must be the building!” Frazz said curiously. Frazz pushed open the door and it gave a loud creek, right in front of her were four doors, “I must choose one of these,” Frazz answered herself. The doors read: Oak, Ash, Elm, or Thorn. “Which do I choose?” Frazz asked herself. Which door did she choose? OAK ELM THORN ASH

  14. Chapter 3 The Ash door The Beast of Gloop By Rachel Adams As Frazz yanked open the Ash door, she went from gloomy darkness to bright warmth. She seemed to be at the top of a kind of cliff ‘I like heights’ she thought “I’ll go to the edge.” Frazz leaned precariously over the edge and then fell down the sheer drop. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” yelled Frazz with all her lungs. She landed with a thump on the velvety grass, getting a nasty scratch off a beautiful rose bush in the process. As always it healed up so she watched it wondering why it did it and more importantly where she was. After all Frazz had expected such a dangerous quest to be all spooky and ugly. But no, this garden was very pretty with many amazing flower beds and not a weed in sight. Although it didn’t last long. Around the corner was scraggy weeping willow like tree bending over a horrid acid green lumpy lake. Frazz looked cautiously at the magical glinting sign above the tree, which told her it was ‘The snider tree’ Finding her way through the twiggy branches, Frazz peered at the tree and then stumbled back a step in horror. Snakes were slithering on the ground spitting venom, while fat spiders crawled on the trunk picking fights.

  15. Shivering Frazz fought her way out and when she was finally out, she took a deep breath and shook dramatically. When Frazz had calmed down, she decided it was time to inspect the lake. ‘HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS’ the book shuddered as Frazz got nearer. “What?” said Frazz who was so near now that she was almost in the lake, leaning like the snider tree. SPLOSH! The book gave in and fell into the lake instead. Without thinking Frazz dived in after it. Finding the book was not a problem for Frazz. She found it the second she went under. But when Frazz grabbed the book, something grabbed her on the ankle. She opened her mouth to scream and got a mouthful of green stuff. Looking down Frazz saw a long pudgy tentacle the colour of the green stuff pulling her down. It was deeper than she thought. Dragging her into a cave full of air, Frazz glimpsed the ugly octopus owner of the tentacle before millions more came throwing her in a cramped cupboard. “This quest seems to be about things I hate,” said poor Frazz “Spiders, snakes and cramped spaces.” When tears fell she wiped them off crossly. Crying doesn’t get anywhere. Frazz pushed the door and found it was unlocked! Tiptoeing round the door Frazz saw him lying asleep. Creeping past him was easy as he was in a sleep as deep as a coma and barely moved. Once she got out of the cave she forced her way up to the top, the green stuff seemed as thick as treacle. But when she was back at the top Frazz moved more quickly, racing back to the pretty garden and then the book buzzed. It fell onto the last page. It was another piece of map the tiny labels read, ‘Ogla’s castle’ and the other read ‘Chest of Cacknazack.’

  16. “What” yelled Frazz aloud “How come he hasn’t found it yet?” Then she stopped running she had reached a road. One had a dragon. Another had a broomstick. The last two had unicorns and a flying carpet. Which did Frazz choose? MAGIC CARPET DRAGON BROOMSTICK UNICORN

  17. Chapter 3 Thorn Scared By Katie O’Malley Finally, Frazz carefully tiptoed towards the nearest door. (This was Thorn.) At first Frazz thought she was just going to walk through a door and find another piece of the map to show her the way. But was Frazz terribly wrong? As Frazz wriggled the door knob of the Thorn door, she could feel a gentle breeze at first getting stronger and stronger becoming in to a powerful whirl wind. Until Frazz could no longer feel the gentle brushing against her face, she decided to hold on to the nearest non pollen tree. But very soon the powerful wind got too powerful that the wind pulled Frazz from the tree, and in through the Thorn door. Swirling round and around like a penny in a charity pot, Frazz screamed and yelled as she floated in mid-air through the old Thorn door. She felt as though she was going through a magic portal. Finally, Frazz landed in what seemed like a forbidden planet with over grown plants and thorns everywhere. Suddenly Frazz heard a voice. At first she thought it was just a sound in her head where she had banged it as she fell from the door with a thump. But it was not! Frazz listened again, but this time harder. “Follow the hidden path.” Came a whisper from nowhere. “Follow the hidden path.” It came again. Startled Frazz wandered round looking and searching for this mysterious person. But then she remembered the wizard. The wizard who found me behind the waterfall.

  18. After a while, Frazz decided to obey the wizard. So she stated in search of the hidden path. Frazz knew that finding would be difficult, because of all of these over grown plants. But very soon she found it. The path had lots of, what looked like skeletons on the side, but that did not scare Frazz. As Frazz strolled further on the over grown leaves, well there got more and more of them till it got to where Frazz had to fit her way through. Suddenly, out of nowhere came a snake. “Hello who are you?” The snake asked slyly. “Um um, my name is um Frazz.” Frazz replied in a scared voice. “And um what is your name is?” Frazz asked. “My name is Sherlock SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSnake.” Hissed the snake. “May I just ask, why have you entered my kingdom?” “Your kingdom? This is a prison!” Frazz thought, because she did not want to be rude. So instead she said…. “Oh sorry sir, but I am on a quest.” Frazz could already see that the snake did not like what she had said about the quest. All of a sudden the snake grabbed something from on his back and as he did the snake suddenly yelled at the top of his lungs. “A QUEST! YOU ARE ON A QUEST! I DO NOT THINK SO!!! “ Frazz noticed that the thing on his back was a sword. A sword that was as sharp as a crocodiles tooth! With fear, Frazz stepped back. Suddenly she heard the wizard’s voice again. “Believe and you can defeat him, believe and you can defeat him.” The wizard kept whispering this on and on. Frazz closed her eyes tightly shut and whispered… “I believe I can defeat Mr Sherlock Snake guy. I can believe I can defeat Mr Sherlock Snake guy.”

  19. After Frazz had whispered this to herself about ten times, she opened her eyes and yelled the same thing as she did before but this time to the face of the snake. Before her eyes, the snake suddenly just disappeared leaving a pile of steaming smoke. After all the smoke had evaporated, there lying on the dusty old ground was a clear bottle of vivid green liquid. As Frazz picked the bottle up to investigate, out of the bottle came bubbles rising to the rim of the bottle with sparks flickering as the bubbles popped. After a while of thinking, Frazz finally realised that it was a magic potion. On the side of the bottle, there was a little note saying about the magic key book and how you had to pour the liquid over the front cover of the book. After reading the note another time, Frazz was absolutely certain that you had to pour the emerald green coloured liquid over the front cover of the book. Just as Frazz did that, the book suddenly flipped to the middle again just as it did last time with the leaf. Then floating in mid-air was the map again, but this time the map showed where the chest was. With joy Frazz grabbed the map from up above, but then very soon her joy ended. “I can’t believe it! It can’t be!” she thought miserably. Unfortunately the magic chest was, well it was in Ogla’s castle! With sadness Frazz sat down on the hard ground sulking. All of a sudden the magic book flickered through all the pages until it suddenly stopped. There in front of Frazz was crinkled up old page. At the top of the page it read… “Short cuts available!” There underneath the title there were four different types of transport. Which transport did Frazz choose? MAGIC CARPET BROOMSTICK DRAGON UNICORN

  20. Chapter 3 The Elm Door By Alexander Cullen Slowly, Frazz opened the Elm door. She walked inside, seeing the outline of an old, dusty warehouse. Her hand reached inside the pocket of her dirty skirt, and grabbed the embossed unicorn covered book. Frazz took it out, and slipped the map into one of the pages, then putting it back into her coat pocket. She looked around again, but it was so dark that all she could see was a shadow of a desk with some papers on it. “This isn’t where I need to be. This is just a silly old warehouse,” she said in her head. But what was that? Footsteps? No, it couldn’t be. Frazz turned around, and looked for the door, but it wasn’t there! Frazz became frightened, as the dim light went out, and the footsteps got closer, and closer... Suddenly, as quick as a flash, the footsteps stopped and a blinding spark floated in mid-air. Frazz stared at it. What was it? Just then, it sounded as if one thousand people had just come into the room. The spark showed pictures of people screaming, but Frazz couldn’t figure out what it meant. But before she could, the dim light flashed back on slowly, and there, right in front of her was a man. Yes a man. But this was no ordinary man. This man only had eyes! Frazz gave out an ear splitting shriek, and the light flickered off again. “No, it can’t be. It’s just my imagination. There wasn’t ever a man with just eyes,” she said, trying to calm herself down. Then came a voice that made Frazz’s pulse race.

  21. “I’m watching you” someone said. Quickly, Frazz turned around and started feeling the wall, to see if there was a door, but there was no exit. She looked around, but there were no windows in sight, and it was hard to breath with the damp, clay walls all around. It definitely was a strange place to work or do anything in. “I’m getting closer,” said the voice, and the footsteps started getting louder and louder. Frazz knew that it must have been the man that only had eyes. But how could he talk, he didn’t have a mouth? But before she could think anymore, the footsteps started again. With her heart beating as fast as the speed of light, and her whole body trembling with fear, Frazz again, started to feel the wall, with her shaky hand, to find a candle. This went on for a few minutes, and at points her finger felt the candle, but slipped off it, but at last, she grabbed onto it, and used the small fire to light it. She turned around and there, in front of her face, were the blood curling eyes, staring at her. When they did, she felt all weird, like a bucket of hot lava was being poured on her face. She thought of a way to make the feeling go away, but all of the thought were useless, and after a while, she decided to just close her eyes, because she would probably die on this stupid quest after all. But then, when she did, the feeling went away. “So that’s how you get the feeling to go away,” she said to herself. Just then, she could hear Caknazak saying: “You are strong. You can do it!”. Frazz opened her eyes, and saw a keyhole in one of his eyes. But she needed a key. Just then, the strange man with the keyhole in his eye held up a key on one of his fingers. The man stared at her, but she ignored the pain, and focused on the key.

  22. Frazz grabbed the key and shoved it into the keyhole, and just at that second, it felt as if she were falling. Wait, she was falling! But before she could figure it out she landed with a THUMP! She sat up and there, in front of her was a dragon, unicorn, flying carpet and a broomstick. Which one did she take? MAGIC CARPET DRAGON BROOMSTICK UNICORN

  23. Chapter 3 Oak The Banshee By Charlotte Town After thinking for a while Frazz decided to go through the oak door. As soon as Frazz opened the door and stepped out, the whole door had turned into a gloomy gravestone. Frazz looked around, cautiously. It was a blood-curdling sight, “Why couldn’t the door lead to an ice cream mountain?” Lonely and scared was how Frazz felt. The graveyard was swathed with mist. All around her the brown grass was swaying, then suddenly snapping, which made Frazz jump out of her skin. When unexpectedly a heart-stopping, high-pitched scream filled the graveyard .Frazz froze, terrified, on the spot. Slowly Frazz turned around. Behind her was a horrifying dark figure with glowing eyes. But there were no pupils. Just two ghoulish scarlet eyes. “Ahhhh, Banshee!” Frazz screamed then dived behind a big grave stone. As Frazz peeped around from behind the gravestone she realised how hard she was breathing. She put her clammy hands over her mouth. But it was too late! Drifting slowly towards her was the Banshee itself, cackling calmly it grabbed the terrified Frazz. There was only one thing to do…Frazz reached out and wacked the Banshee round the head. It looked at her with unblinking eyes then…. (This is the gory bit.) The Banshee’s whole head fell off, and then rolled down the hill. BUMP, BUMP, BUMP. Just at that moment Frazz felt a comforting breeze, quietly Frazz heard a whispering voice. IT WAS THE WIZARD! “Frazz, take the scroll from the neck.”

  24. “What neck?” shouted Frazz. But it was too late the wizard had already gone. Frazz looked around. She kept hearing the wizards voice in her head, like an echo that never wanted to leave. So Frazz looked down and then she spotted the Banshee’s lifeless body. There was the next map piece sticking out of the neck hole! “YUCK!” Frazz shivered . As quick as a flash she grabbed the map. Strangely it was as clean as new! “Phew” sighed Frazz. “But how am I going get out of here?” To her right was the wondrous woods. (Dragons and Unicorns lived there). Over to her left was the town. (She might find a magic shop where she could buy a broomstick or a magic carpet). What form of transport did she choose? MAGIC CARPET BROOMSTICK DRAGON UNICORN

  25. Chapter 4 Flying carpet adventure By Neve Gilmore and Benjamin Sandy Slowly Frazz took one step towards the floating transportation. The book had yellow writing inside of it glowing “take the carpet “ and the wizard was saying the same.so Frazz took the red magic flying carpet that shone as bright as flames. Cautiously she took one step onto the carpet and was off. Rapidly Frazz saw everything at once. Then it slowly came to a halt. Frazz looked round to see a wonderful sight before her. There were masses of sparkling green trees. To Frazz it looked like the trees were alive and grabbing out for her as she hovered above. Slowly the flying carpet went on a gentle flight. Now she could see so much. There was a huge enchanted forest and for just a second she thought that she saw a winged horse. Extremely worried Frazz saw Olga’s castle that was as big as a mountain. Frazz was full of joyful confidence and pulled the two front corners of the mat so the flying transport came to a halt. Walking off the mat Frazz froze and took a look at the uninhabited forest and strolled on through it. Ahead of Frazz there were pairs of guards so she told herself “I must be close.” Then she heard an amazing thought “Go to the tree on your left.” So Frazz walked to the tree, climbed into a hole and was magically transported to the castle.

  26. As she entered the castle, the book glowed and gave her the interior plan of the castle so that she could walk through the castle without being seen; first she went through the secret tunnel. Slowly Frazz crept out of the passage way. Next she came across a four way cross. The four signs said library, armoury, great hall, tower chamber. Which one did she choose? ARMOURY GREAT HALL LIBRARY TOWER CHAMBER

  27. Chapter 4 Broomstick By Stacy-Ana Lynch and Alistair Craig Surprisingly Frazz chose the broomstick, as it reminded her of witches .She absolutely loved witches because they had magical powers, which she thought is awesome. Amazed by what she was doing Frazz sat on the broomstick and swooped in the air like a dragon flying powerfully .Frazz suddenly saw a cloud. “Oh no I can’t see,” Finally she came out of the foggy cloud .Unexpectedly a big grey mountain was straight ahead of Frazz .Pulling up the broomstick Frazz cried “Up, Up “And the broomstick soared up, over the mountain .Over the grey mountain Frazz could see Ogla’s castle which was dark gloomy and big, it also had hundreds of rooms. Scared Frazz forced herself to go in the direction of the terrifying castle that made Frazz shiver .Getting lower and lower the more terrified Frazz was getting. She thought to herself, “How on earth am I going to get that treasure chest?” .As Frazz landed she saw an eye that was staring around, she knew that it was staring at the people who looked suspicious. Suddenly she saw guards with metal armour with a strip of red Frazz thought to herself, “How am I going to get in Ogla’s dark and gloomy castle? I’d better hid and quick”. So Frazz hid behind the dark gleaming dark wall. Fortunately she saw a crooked hole in the wall that she could fit through. Carefully she forced herself to go through the first hole.

  28. In front of Frazz she saw a midnight blue moat with bright green alligators stalking the water Frazz thought as hard as she could to try and get across but it was no use suddenly the book started to glow again but not like normally so she opened it unexpectedly a big bang came out of the book .Frazz shielded her eyes .Then she looked at her pale long bony hand and it disappeared she screamed her head off! She closed the book she was so scared then she heard the wizard in the wind he said “Don’t worry you are invisible. Now get into that castle” So Frazz swam through the moat which was a midnight blue colour and another crack in the wall .Finally she was inside the dark gloomy castle now she could feel the nightmares coming true. Which room did Frazz choose to search? ARMOURY GREAT HALL LIBRARY TOWER CHAMBER

  29. Chapter 4 Dragon The Tower of Power! By Daisie Amos and Isabella Blair With her head aching from all her thoughts, Frazz chose the dragon, because she thought it would fly higher and she loved heights! Finally she was off on an adventure flying through the air! As the dragons wings flapped through the breezy air, she felt like a bird soaring through the skies. Frazz was as high as the scorching hot sun, so when she looked down she saw lots of mini figures. There was fire coming out of the friendly dragon, smoke was rising through the air from its mouth. Frazz was having so much fun! She travelled through the air and flying through clouds as soft as cotton balls, as she came out of a cloud she had to shoot up as there was a giant mountain coming her way. She felt the pressure closing in on her she took smaller breaths… Floating in the mid-air she stopped “That wasn’t so bad” Frazz thought But it wasn’t over yet. Manically they dropped she was going to crash on the ground! As she fell, she saw the castle in the distance. It was coated in mist, grey with high towers. Frazz wondered, if she was going to survive, but she tried to think on think on the positive side.

  30. Quietly she landed at the back of Olga’s castle. Frazz didn’t know what to do so she got out her book for help. When she opened her book, she picked up the ring symbol it turned into a talking ring! It told her to put it on and it would give her power to breath underwater. After that an idea came into her head, Frazz put on the bizarre ring and jumped into the water of the moat. Deeper and deeper she swam under the blue water. She saw tiny winged little fish floating through the dark water. In the dark water they looked luminous. Strangely as she got even deeper, she could see the water change into a deeper blue. As she reached the bottom unusually she saw lamps that had been lit with fire. Fire underwater! She knew it was magic, as it didn’t go out in the water. Instead of roots growing up the towers base there were doors with labels on them. Frazz was confused, but she knew they were there on purpose and it was fate for her to find them. Which room did she search? LIBRARY TOWER CHAMBER ARMOURY GREAT HALL

  31. Chapter 4 Unicorn By Molly and Phoebe Eventually Frazz chose the beautiful golden sunlight unicorn, as she thought it would gallop as fast as a cheetah. Carefully walking up to the unicorn she gently whispered, “I’m going to call you Sunshine” Softly she stroked Sunshine’s mane and they were shortly off to begin the wonderful journey. Waiting for a moment the pony was getting excited, so she decided to jump on Sunshine’s gorgeous fine back. Soon they began the mysterious journey. Riding away into the misty forest Frazz began to feel quite excited too, looking through the forest she saw a path of flowers laid in front of her. As they trotted through the flower path, emerald trees were swaying in the gentle breeze. Soon after that Frazz opened her book to find a glowing dot showing where they were, turning onto the next page she found some entrances to get into Ogla’s Castle. Once she had finished with the book she closed the book and saw some turrets she thought “That must be the castle.” So they headed towards the tall grey turret. As they got closer to Ogla’s Castle Sunshine’s legs began to get tired, so they found a nearby tree and sat down for a little nap. As they sat down multi-coloured leaves began to peacefully drop all the colours looked amazing. Shortly after that they were full of energy and ready to carry on with this strange mission. Jumping onto Sunshine she stroked its mane as well as patting it for good luck.

  32. After a while they approached the castle, they stared at it for a while to think of how misty and scary it was. After a long while of thinking Frazz saw a light twinkling in her eye. Consequently Frazz looked up and to her surprise it was an open window, the window that was in the picture in the book! Suddenly Sunshine started to hover, as if she could read Frazz’s mind, as if she was connected to her. They were hovering for a long time as it was one of the top windows, Sunshine was hovering like a hover fly, so elegant and soft. Finally they reached the window, so Frazz climbed into the window. The second Frazz walked in it was so clean she had to let out a little “WOW.” When she got in completely, she walked through a wooden arch searching around trying not to say anything and give it away! Then she found four doors engraved with room names. Which one did she choose? ARMOURY GREAT HALL LIBRARY TOWER CHAMBER

  33. Chapter 5 The Frightful Armoury By Eugenie Dodds Adventuring up the spiral staircase of the west tower, Frazz followed the maps direction. Surprisingly the armoury was at the top of a tower! “Surely that can’t be right,” thought Frazz puzzled “you wouldn’t have armour at the top of a castle, it’s heavy! Perhaps it’s secret!” Frazz started filling herself with many ideas. Eventually Frazz found the round, pointed, spooky room. Light shone in through the curtain, nevertheless Frazz still turned on the dull light. Clanking and chinking had begun! Was it? It couldn’t be! Had the armour come to life? No! It wasn’t true or was it…? Strangely it was true! The armour was alive! Carefully Frazz tiptoed to the curtain to let in some light. As the armour moved it became more difficult to find the chest. “This is as complicated as maths problems!!”muttered Frazz. Not knowing what colour the chest was Frazz stared around in horror! Cautiously Frazz stepped across the floor; but, oh no, there came quiet footsteps coming her way…! “Where should I hide?” Thought Frazz struggling. Inside her head a voice told her to hide in armour. Straight away she climbed into a massive suit of armour as big as Ogla himself-she fitted into one leg!

  34. As expected the ugliest, most frightful troll appeared slamming heavy doors behind him; shouting “WHO ENTERED MY CASTLE!!!!!!!!!? HOW DARE THEY!!!!!!!!!!!” Coming into the room Ogla searched the room top to bottom. He looked everywhere, but the armour Frazz was in…! “Lucky I didn’t hide behind the door or I’d be squashed meat!” Frazz realised Ogla had stared at something in amongst the junk. Perhaps it was a sword! Climbing out of the leg Frazz too, stared at the objet. Frazz didn’t understand. It couldn’t be the chest; it has no key hole. But was Frazz looking close enough…? “It’s t-t-the chest!!” stuttered Frazz leaping with joy-almost in tears. “But how do you open it?” whispered Frazz even more confused from when she begun!! 35. Chapter 5 The Great Hall of Magic By Alfie Kettle Eventually, Frazz chose the second ‘ the Great Hall `. She sprinted in the room and closed the gigantic oak door behind her. BANG! Frazz heard some footsteps, which sounded like a herd of elephants. Again, the door opened with a huge squeak Frazz hid under the grand wooden table. It was Ogla. He bellowed “I WANT MY LUNCH!” over and over again. Out of the blue, Ogla smashed the table… Luckily Frazz was at the other end. She sprinted to the wall, suddenly Frazz, fell back … (where had she gone). Frazz had fallen back into the but she was still in the same room. Amazingly the table wasn’t crushed, even though the table was not destroyed the oak door was flattened. Obviously someone had been in. But who…? Searching curiously around the room, Frazz saw something or someone, but who was it? It was a chest of some sort she got nearer and nearer. Suddenly the Unicorn’s (on the front of the book) horn started glowing bright gold. As well as that the wooden chest which was gold silver plated that was hidden in the brick wall. Just then, footsteps approached her, then there wasa massive roar “ HOW DARE SOMEONE ENTER MY ENCHANT CASTEL!!!!!!” Amazingly without even noticeing, Ogla strolled straight by the Great Hall. Wondering about it Frazz mumbled, “how do you open this mythical chest!?” To end of Chapter 5.

  36. Chapter 5 The library Ogla’s library of doom! By Olivia Martin Looking around at the four rooms Frazz decided to go for the library, seeing that she got the book also known as the key in the in the library the chest might be in there. Peering around the door frame Frazz saw millions of books. The coast looked clear. Tentatively Frazz tip toed in to the library. Where could she start? This place was massive. “First things first” thought Frazz. “I will look round to see if it is in an obvious place.” Wandering around was tiring, so Frazz sat down in a massive chair that was as big as an oak tree. Closing her eyes Frazz fell asleep. “BOOM, BOOM!!!” Frazz woke with a start. An ear piercing sound came from the hall way out side. “I REALY NEED MY AFTERNOON NAP!” “Oh no this must be Oglas chair.” Frazz thought to herself . Rushing of the chair Frazz went to hide in the corner behind the book shelf. Peering round the book shelf she could see Ogla a hideous fierce troll sitting on the chair she dozed off in. Ogla also dozed off. While he was asleep Frazz very quietly looked at the books. One said magic potion, one said magic spells and one said … caknazak that was the name of the chest. Frazz pulled out the book then opened it but all it said was open sesimie. “Open sesimie” Frazz whispered Suddenly the book shelf opened and there stood the gold wooden magnificent chest of caknazak. Bending down looking at the chest Frazz was confused it doesn’t have a key hole. How could she open it? To end of Chapter 5.

  37. Chapter 5 The Tower Chamber By Ellie O’Malley After a while, Frazz tentatively shifted towards the silk patterned, flower covered tower chamber. Fearfully, Frazz started to get some crazy butterflies in her stomach, although she knew that she was alone; or at least Frazz thought she was…. Worrying, Frazz thought she was always being watched with piercing wide eyes following every cautious move she made. She felt as though the dark coloured patterned round walls were closing in on her, as well as this, she felt as though someone had tied a rope around her body, but mainly her tingling stomach. “Why did I ever say I would do this? This is so frightening! What if one of Ogla’s guards jumps out in front of me? What if this is just a terrible joke?” Frazz questioned herself. All of these worrying thoughts kept going around Frazz ‘s full head, not knowing what to do about it. Unexpectedly, timid footsteps were coming towards the tower chamber. Puzzled by what she could hear, Frazz heard a voice whispering to hide under the wooden oak four poster bed. Here Frazz felt as tiny as a mouse. Terrifyingly, the footsteps grew louder and louder… “I don’t think I like this.” Frazz whispered to herself.

  38. Thankfully, it was only a useless guard walking past the decorated well chamber. But while Frazz was wriggling impatiently, she bumped her head on something that felt like a large wooden box with precious valuables inside. Struggling to get out from under the posh, expensive bed, Frazz wondered curiously about the strange box. After thinking about it, she decided to pull the two ton box out! “Yes! I’ve found the Chest of Caknazak!” Frazz screamed a little too loud. “Hey! What‘s that dreadful racket?! I must go and see!” thundered the furious troll Ogla. As Frazz was investigating the gorgeous treasure chest, loud ear- deafening stomps of 10000000, 00000 feet were coming towards her! “THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! ” Surprisingly, all of the fearsome guards; the terrible Ogla were only going to the luxurious dining hall for their lunch! “Phew.”, Frazz carefully mumbled. “I wonder how you open this thing” she thought wondering…. 39. Chapter 5 Ending By Rachel, Olivia, Ellie, Eugenie, Alfie, Katie, Alec and Charlotte “Wait a minute! The Grand Wizard said the book was the key!” Excitedly, she gazed at the gold, embossed, unicorn covered, leather book. “If the book is the magic key, it has to be the unicorn that contains the magic”. “Amazing! You’ve worked out the key to the book!” announced the Unicorn as he appeared through a cloud of golden shimmers. Slowly he trotted towards the chest of Caknazak and tapped it in a certain pattern with his spiral silver horn. Miraculously the lid gently opened revealing the dusty, cobweb covered cloak, wand and ring that belonged to Caknazak. Having completed his task, the unicorn vanished into more golden shimmers returning to the front cover of the book. As Frazz peered into the magical chest, she realised that the enchanted objects were starting to swirl around. Getting faster and faster, the midnight blue cloak with dozens of silver moons formed a portal. “Oh no, not the portal again; I’m already feeling dizzy!” thought Frazz. However Frazz bravely stepped into the portal of the chest, materialising back at the secret cave. “Well done! You have completed your quest, as I knew you would, and returned the chest to its rightful keeper,” Caknazak congratulated Frazz. As he clicked his fingers, the new cloak flew and wrapped itself around his frail body along with his magic ring and wand.

  40. “Ogla turn mini and go into my ringy!” Caknazak chanted loudly. Instantly, a rush of monstrous guards and the horrid Olga swirled out of the magic portal and into the sparkly ruby ring. Staring with his piercing, jet black eyes, Caknazak locked the ring. Frazz laughed her head off because all the guards’ faces were squashed against the ruby ring! “Frazz, my young heroine, would you like to be my apprentice?” questioned Caknazak. Frazz, surprised by the request, nodded her head excitedly. With a zap of Caknazak’s magic wand, Frazz and the wizard were immediately transported back to Ogla’s castle. As they stepped on to the drawbridge, the dark, cold castle flashed before their eyes and the whole castle was transformed into a beautiful crystal castle, where they lived happily ever after!
