Controversy • What is the 90%? • Returning Immigrants after crossing the border • Expensive project • Net zero • Only have to discuss how they will achieve border security • 44% is secure, according to the Wall Street Journal • “Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), the Senate’s second-ranking Republican and a member of the immigration, refugees and border security subcommittee, has said that this immigration bill would actually undermine border security because ‘the border control will shift resources away, in a preannounced fashion, from most of the border sectors in order to reach the goals for only a few” (Heritage Action)
