OMGI Assistance • Window for Seed Capital for innovation • Consultancy support for research and analysis of important issues in the Department. • Training of employees • Awards for innovative work to individuals and teams • Development of E-Tools • Exposure visits • Travel • Study Tours • Preparation of Project Report • Implementation on a pilot basis

  4. Institutional Design • Steering Committee of Secretaries headed by Chief Secretary • Managing Committee headed by Special Secretary, General Administration Department • Coordination and Monitoring Unit at GAD • Contracting Unit at OCAC • SPIUs in Departments

  5. Budget and Duration • Programme to run up to December 2008 with DFID assistance after which the reform initiatives may be funded out of State budget • Programme size is Rs 10.00 crores to be funded by DFID.

Next Steps • Interested Departments to prepare a brief plan of action of what needs to be done in their Departments • Identify kind of expert support required • Accordingly, SPIUs will be set up • Departments to actively engage with the external consultants to prepare the Reform Action Plan and projectise it. • Steering Committee to vet the RAPs and monitor implementation.
