TravelSMART Workplaces • Better Ways to Work 2003 • 5 Local Government Areas • Development of Access Plans • Flagship Workplaces 2003 (pilot) • Monash Uni – 1000 1st year students • Alfred Hospital – 1000 staff • Ride to Work and Beyond (pilot) • Event based behaviour change, facilitating habitualisation of new riders cycling to work

  8. TravelSMART Communities • Works directly with households • 2003 Pilot in Elwood, Dandenong and Moreland • Geographical communities • Around activity centres • Along public transport corridors • Inner, middle and outer urban areas • Metropolitan and regional

Program Impact Evaluation Communities • Independently audited by 3rd party • vkt reduction before/ after surveys of sampled households. • 4 week Odometer survey, 3 day diary and PT test ticket tracking Workplaces • Survey to estimate greenhouse gas reduction and public transport measured through ticketing Schools • before and after classroom surveys

  10. Alamein Project • 8000 households along the Alamein spur line • Indimark approach by SocialData • Contacting households within 800m catchment of railway • Strong public transport focus • Rolled out with improved signage for system • Project starts in June • Pre- and post-evaluation
