  2. How to use a microscope. • Prepare your slide. • Turn the red objective into alignment. • Open the iris diaphragm. • Place the slide on the stage with the cover slip facing up. • Adjust the stage controls. • Focus with coarse focus. (big knob) • Focus with fine focus. (little knob)

  3. How to use a microscope. • Align the yellow objective. • Focus with the fine focus only. (little knob) • Align the blue objective. • Focus with the fine focus only. (little knob) • Partially close the iris diaphragm. If you use the coarse focus you could break the slide and the objective!
