Develop a framework for visualizing reinvestment potential in the Discovery Triangle aiming to create 100,000 quality jobs while considering public policy, housing, education, sustainability, and transportation. Coordinate with Expert Groups, use metrics for success, and promote urban vitality. Identify case study areas, analyze features, create development schemes, and engage stakeholders for input and evaluation. Integrate data, finalize land use models, analyze results, and prepare a comprehensive outline for the Demonstration Area.

Demonstration Area Case Study as Envisioned by Development/Planning Expert Group • PURPOSE • To create a framework and process for visualizing potential reinvestment through development in the Discovery Triangle. • Demonstrate feasibility of goal to achieve 100,000 new quality jobs in the Discovery Triangle, and the resulting opportunities and constraints regarding public policy, housing, education, sustainability, transportation, etc. • Develop potential development schemes that achieve that goal. • Coordinate with other Expert Groups goals and missions. • Utilize metrics to gauge success. • Further the goal of urban vitality in nature.

Demonstration Area Case Study as Envisioned by Development/Planning Expert Group • Process (continued) • Identify a smaller sub-area of Discovery Triangle to use for Demonstration Area. • Identify boundaries of Demonstration Area. • Choose case study site(s) within Demonstration Area to use for sample development analysis. • Identify that analysis will be based on a large percentage of assumptions. • Create potential development options for site(s). • Hold charette with other Expert Groups and stakeholders to evaluate options. • Analyze charette results and modify accordingly.
