Join us on 12-13 January 2015 for a workshop discussing the needs of persons with disabilities throughout the disaster management cycle. Gain insights from panel discussions, best practices in civil protection, and the use of new technologies. Structure of the workshop II • Panel discussion • Will be moderated by skilled experts • All speakers are evaluated and chosen taking in consideration their experience and recommendations by trustworthy bodies (UNISDR, CION, MS) • Panel discussions will be web-streamed through Presidency’s website and preventionweb.net

Structure of the workshop III • Workshop(two sessions) • Will be moderated by skilled experts • Time for MS experts intervention and information sharing • Latvian PROCIV team will be present in each group • Debriefing among Presidency and moderators after each workshop session. • Moderators will stay in Riga +1 Day for evaluation. 5

Structure of the workshop IV • Exhibition/Demonstration • Public/Private entities • 1+ hour long coffee break combined with exhibition/demonstration • Specialists in the field of communication services for users with special needs or disabilities, such as deaf, hearing impaired; • Germany’s experience WarnApp; • Germany’ experience - results of the European project EUNAD “ European Network for Psychosocial Crisis Management - Assisting Disabled in Case of Disaster”; • Finnish, Lithuanian experience; • Etc. 6
