  4. Minimum Requirements • GT4 • All sites need to upgrade • SDSC, UH, AIST, NCHC to upgrade first (after SC’05 - but by end of year) • Test ninf-g (QMMD) • Test Savannah • After test everyone to upgrade by next meeting • SCMSWeb

  5. MPICH-G2 • Reservations • PBS (yes) / SGE (no) • SGE Dedicated Queue w/ ACL • Public IPs • MPICH-GX (KISTI) • 4-6 Clusters on PRAGMA have public Ips • AIST, ASCC, KISTI, NCHC, NCSA, SDSC, TiTech • GT4 requires pre-ws GRAM (same as ninf-g) • SGE + Public Ips • AIST, SDSC • AIST will teach SDSC how to use SGE • Policy for SGE Reservations (Yoshio, Mason) • Proposal from application drivers required • CICESE, ASCC • Reservation of extra nods • Performance Testing (NCHC)

Issues • Software Versions • NIMROD, Gfarm move too fast • Cannot upgrade SW every few weeks • Training for using middleware • Applications Tutorials • Teach resources group how applications work • Resources can recommend (and help) with middleware • Accounting • XML schema for MOGAS (NGO) • MOGAS backend to become part of GOC (NGO, SDSC)
