  1. Gass- og energiteknologi 2009300,000 ton/år – Risavika, Sola – byggeprosjekt, transport & marked9. juni 2009

  2. Nordic LNG - Overview 40% 60%

  3. Skangass Liquefaction Plant in Risavika

  4. LNG Plant • The LNG plant is located in Risavika near Stavanger • Gas supplied to the plant from Lyses pipeline from Kårstø • The LNG plant capacity; 300.000 tpy (tons per year) • Expansion possibilities; 300.000 tpy • LNG stored in 30.000 m3 tank before loading/unloading • Start up LNG production Q4, 2010 • Contractor of LNG factory: Linde AG

  5. LNG Plant, main components 3 main components • Process • Tank • Jetty

  6. LNG Tank Flare LNG truck filling station Main cooler (gas to LNG) Dryer Plant entrance Removal of CO2 Office/ controlroom Area for train # 2 Feedgas to plant compressor Fire water Jetty for ship LNG Plant, layout

  7. LNG-production CO2 removal Drying LYSE LNG Anlegg Risavika Kårstø LNG tank Offshore LNG ship LNG Plant, process

  8. LNG Plant, progress • On schedule • Almost 50% ready • Tank ready autumn 2009 • First gas in process summer 2010 • Start production Q4, 2010

  9. Distribution of LNG LNG will distributed with ship to receiving terminals or by truck to end users Norgas Innovation, the first 10.000 cbm MG carrier from IM Skaugen

  10. I.M. Skaugen SE • World leading provider of marine transportation services of ethylene. • A fleet of 18 gas vessels (6.000-10.200 m3) are operated world wide • Multigas Carriers, capable of carrying the more traditional cargoes of LPG and Ethylene, as well as LNG. • Order placed for the first six of ten vessels. First vessel to be delivered Q4 2009. • The vessels are built on IMS ship yard in China. Ad a picture of somargas ship later

  11. 10.000 m3 multigas design for ship • 2 independent cargo tanks, type C in stainless steel • Temperature down to -163ºC • Cooling system keeps the LNG at -163ºC • Maximum pressure: 5.2 bar reciprocal to 25 days without a cooling system • Two pumps, 640 cbm/h each, takes approx 10 hours to load or discharge the vessel • Overall length: 137,1m • Length betw. perpendicular: 127,2 m • Beam: 19,8 m • Moulded depth: 11,5 m • Maximum draught: 8,3 m • Design draught: 6,7 m • LNG capacity: 4.500 tons  62,5 GWh Souce: IM Skaugen

  12. Øra terminal • Sweden and Norway • Industrial customers - mainly pulp & paper, chemicals and minerals Covering Greater Oslo Region as well as the Swedish West Coast and Gothenburg Large industrial cluster Target market do not include current pipeline customers Densely populated – driving the need for cleaner technologies

  13. Market for LNG • Market segments • Large industrial users • Marine segment • Focus area northern Europe • Key drivers to replace other fossil fuels • Improved efficiency • Lower maintenance and operational cost • Less tax and charges on CO2 • Less emissions • ~25% less CO2 • 80-90% less NOx • Close to zero particulates and SO2
