  3. Education & Outreach • GIS Organics Map project • Partners: VA Tech, MACREDO • Funded by EPA Region 3 • Mapping sources and recyclers • Blacksburg Food Waste Diversion Seminar • Speakers from ILSR, Whole Foods, UNC-Chapel Hill, VA Federation of Food Banks • Tour of PME Compost Facility

  4. Education & Outreach • USCC Regulator Training • Helped the U.S. Composting Council offer one-day compost training to VA DEQ regulators in regional offices

  5. Infrastructure Development • Provided comments to VA DEQ on Amendment 7 to the Solid Waste Regs to encourage composting • Developed conceptual Scope of Work for I/C/I food residuals study for grant funding • Promoted new infrastructure capacity with Royal Oak and PME
