  1. We Can “See” (Understand) The Bible Alike

  2. Introduction • How many people really believe we cannot understand the Bible alike? • Many want to justify different religions and religious beliefs because they think we can see the Bible differently and still please God

  3. The Bible Is God’s Revelation Of His Will • 2 Pet. 1:20 • The message or word did not originate with the prophet • 1 Cor. 14:37  • The Bible is God’s means of reaching down to man, to enable man to reach back to God

  4. The Bible Has Been Accurately Translated • There is indisputable proof that our Bibles have been faithfully translated into our own English language

  5. The Bible Is Infallible • Infallible = absolutely trustworthy or sure • Cannot lead one into error • “Every word of the Bible was written by men under the control of the Holy Spirit. It is divine rather than human, the words of God rather than the words of men” Eldred Stevens

  6. The Bible Is Complete And Final • There are no new revelations from God in modern times as some claim • Jude 3 • 2 Pet. 1:3 • 2 Tim. 3:16-17 • You never outgrow the Bible

  7. The Bible Is Understandable To Those Able & Willing To Learn • If God has given us a book we cannot understand, then how does it benefit us? • “God has spoken by men, to men, for men.” • Rom. 15:4

  8. The Bible Is Understandable To Those Able & Willing To Learn • The honest Bible student can understand God’s Word • Man, made in God’s image, is rational – can think and reason • Man has the ability to weigh evidence and this is what the Bible constantly requires man to do

  10. We Must Understand The Bible Because It Is Authoritative • Authoritative = having or showing authority • The truth is always there for those who seek it • If we refuse to recognize and understand the Bible then we reject the authority of God

  11. We Must Understand The Bible Because It Is Authoritative • Mt. 13:14-15 • It is strange that even some in the church now teach that we cannot understand the Bible alike!
