Progressing cavity pump systems for artificial lift – Part 3: Drive strings NWI, approved • 15 members countries approved forming the work group to draft the standard, voting closed Dec. 16, 2009 • 7 member countries in the voting process offered expert participation, they include: Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, UK, Spain and US

Preliminary Meeting Plan • Early discussions included plans for four meetings in 2010. • March – Initial meeting process details and scope preparation and structural discussions “Houston” • June – Data collection meeting “location unknown” • September – Data consolidation and collection, in concert with SPE- PCP meeting “Edmonton AB” • November – Continued data additions and refinements “ location unknown”

Comments provided by the voters 6 comments were offered (abbreviated here): • Focus on the torsional issues, connections, applicable materials, sizing, and rod guides for PCP applications • Ensure the French Title is correct • The term “drive rod” is trademarked by Alberta oil Tool Company, get permission or avoid using it • As a “Part -3” of the PCP ISO standard 15551, indicates this is planned to be a free standing standard rather than an annex to the PCP standard • There is content in the preliminary draft that may not be necessary
