Attack On America By: Addison Nimrod P3G3
The World Trade Center The World Trade Center was hit by two hijacked planes on September 11th 2001. Killing many and leaving thousands wounded, it is still not for sure how many people were lost in the tragic event, the estimates are around 6,000 dead and missing.
Collapse Of The Twin Towers Shortly after the Twin Towers were hit by the second plane they collapsed, the fall caused a lot of smoke, and debris. People are still trying to clean up the mess.
The Pentagon The center of U.S. intelligence was also attacked. The Pentagon. There were not as many lives lost there and the damage is not as bad as the World Trade Center collapsing. Fortunately there were not many people in the building when the planes hit. There are about 800 people dead and missing.
Osama Bin Laden Osama Bin Laden had been charged with supervising the terrorist attacks on the United State on September 11. He has been involved on many other attacks on the US and various other countries. He is one of the most wanted men in the world.
Rescue Workers There are many people that have been helping others since the planes first hit. There are still Relief Crews, Firefighters, and Police Officers looking through the rubble, trying to find missing people, and looking for the dead.
America At War America is at war with Afghanistan. The Air Force has been bombing various targets and the United States is prepared to send in ground troops. President Bush tells America this is going to be a costly war.
Starting Over The hardest thing for some people to do right now is go back to work and get back into their normal schedules. It will take a long time for everyone to get over this tragedy, especially the people that lost loved ones in the attack.
