  4. Read the text quickly. Mention two or more things you remember from the text. Sam's blog 10thNovember Drawing and painting is available for anyone who believes he has the gift. There are more painting and drawing “how to” videos on YouTube than ever before, and so many venues searching for new talents. There’s a young artist called Julie, I really admire her determination. She started to paint at a young age, her mother discovered her passion for colouring at the age of 3. She started her YouTube channel four years ago, she posts “how to” videos and some videos of herself painting one of her pieces. She reached 1 million subscribers in 2019. She grew up as the first-born of 3 siblings. She was born with a disability, one of her legs is shorter than the other one. So she went through several surgeries to correct her leg bones to match the other. She needed to be on a certain diet to help her recover after the surgery, and when she grew up she became vegetarian. She discovered colouring when she was in recovery after her surgery, and her mother saw an opportunity to keep Julie busy and not thinking about her leg. 5. When she was 15 her mom bought a camera and decided to try it on her. She told her to start drawing something while her mother filmed her. When she got carried away in drawing she started explaining to her mother which brush to use and why. Her mom immediately figured what she’s going to do! Together they started planning the videos to shoot and wrote scenarios of what Julie would say, and what type of painting and drawing tips she would teach in her videos. And she became an online tutor for kids, with a scheduled lesson every other week. Despite being a teenager and having school to think about, her channel was amazingly doing well! Her mother didn’t want her to do poorly at school; so she planned her week, and made sure her time is divided between schooling and painting. With the help of her mother she became a role model for lots of new painters. Comment She is a very inspiring young lady. I didn’t know anything about her. How did you hear about her? I want to know more about her life. Where was she born? What kind of other arts does she likes? Marry 332 Eng101 New Language Leader Level 1 2.2 Creative Lives
