WIPO-ITU Accessibility workshop

This workshop by WIPO-ITU explores the International Labour Organization's (ILO) background in vocational rehabilitation, with a focus on their strong engagement and recent panel discussion on people with disabilities in times of economic crisis. The ILO employs a visually impaired person and has a web presence since 1996, consisting of over 150 unit websites. However, their holistic approach to accessibility is still fragmented, and they aim to create uniformity in the interface and navigation, raise awareness, and use a CMS with accessibility features. They also plan to redesign the website in the future, improving architecture, content, and making extensive use of Alt tags. The video "Decent Work for People with Disabilities: Count Us In" provides more insights.
