Rockefeller was one of the most influential business tycoons America has ever seen, and he symbolized the American philosophy that bigger is better in his constant pursuit to increase the size of his empire. His acts of generosity and kindness were masked by the media propaganda against him as a greedy business man. In summation Rockefeller was an American pioneer whose acute sense for business was centuries ahead of his competition’s.
  3. Basic Biography Born: July 8, 1839, in Richmond, New York In 1852 Rockefeller began attending Owego Academy in Owego, New York. In 1853 Rockefeller’s family moved to Cleveland where he concluded high-school in 1855. Studious, persistent and diligent individual. Died: May 23, 1939 in Ormond Beach, Florida
