Monday  April 11, 2011 • Objective: SWU how human activities impact our atmosphere and global climate. • Focus: What are the three ways that our ecosystems can be changed? • List and answer in your spiral. • Activity: Give out book report suggestion. • Send students to the library in groups of 5-6 students. • You must get approval of your book if it is not on the list in the library. It must be on the environment. It can be fiction or non-fiction.

Tuesday :* April 12, 2011 • Objective: SWU how human activities impact our atmosphere and global climate. • Focus: What is a particulate? • Activity: Particulate hangers. • Get out your hangers.. And there needs to be four of them with your name on them.. And they need the hole in the top and a paper clip attached. • We are going to watch a short video on air pollution. • We will go across campus and put these out.. And pick them up tomorrow.. Put them in a place where there is air circulation but will not be in the way of closing doors or where students have access to knock them down. You need to write down where all four of your hangers are so that you can retrieve them tomorrow.

  5. Thursday, April 14, 2011 • Objective: SWU how human activities impact our atmosphere and global climate. • Focus: Page 531 Is all pollution that enters the atmosphere manmade? Are there natural pollution problems? • When we pick up our particle hangers, what do you expect to find? If you particle hanger is outside, you need to pick it up today. If it is in a building or in a classroom, we will pick it up tomorrow. • Be sure you have your library book. If not you need to get one today. • Activity: We are going to work on and finish our chapter 13 study guide today. • Friday: pick up particle hangers and fill out chart (where it was placed, date picked up, chart will be provided tomorrow) • SPIRAL CHECK TOMORROW, FRIDAY APRIL 15. • WE WILL FINISH WATCHING THE VIDEO MONDAY AND TUESDAY DURING CLASS.

FRIDAY APRIL 15 <(“) • Objective: SWU how human activities impact our atmosphere and global climate. • Focus: How do particulates affect your health? • Activity: picking up particulate hangers. • Turn in your Chapter 13 study guide for grade completed at beginning of class. • Also, checking spirals for past two weeks. • Grades for particulate hangers will be given when they are turned in in class.
