  10. Separate Collection • Valnor sends for recycling, all the recyclable SUW, separated by the population (paper, glass and packs) and placed in the waste collection points, after sorted and compacted. 215 inhabitants / waste collection points

Separate Collection • Valnor promotes the use of waste collection points with free distribution of domestic containers for recyclable SUW. • It also promotes the separation of paper, plastic and metal in public institutions and services (banks, health centers, etc.) through the distribution of specific containers.

  12. Separate Collection • Valnor has implemented an efficient system of separate collection. • OPCIR is a system that allows monitorizing the existing waste collection points. It is possible to control the wadding level, the time spent during the collect, etc.

  13. Separate Collection • In order to make the best use of its equipment, VALNOR has implemented a Computer-Assisted Maintenance (CAM) system, witch is an important tool for achieving efficiency.

  14. Separate Collection • As a consequence of the campaigns organized, Valnor has been come close to verify a significant increase in the volumes collected.

  16. Valnor promotes different types of raising awareness, directed to all the population: “Clean World” Van; Visits to the CIVTRS Avis/Fronteira; Valnor Stand; Exhibitions of hawks /environmental sensitization; Newsletter “ecoVALOR”. Awareness-raising

  17. Quality, Environment, Health and Safety constitute a permanent concern to Valnor, since the beginning. They are considered basic values and are always present in the services organization; Quality Policies

  18. Certification • Full certification was awarded for the Quality Management, Environmental Management and Health and Safety at work systems (March 2004). In fact, VALNOR was the first European company in the SUW sector to be awarded the relevant certification in these areas (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001);

Other Projects in course • Always with the aim to offer a quality service, with respect for the essential social and environmental aspects, VALNOR initiated in 2005 an integration process of VALNOR in the community system of Auditory and Eco-Management - EMAS. This process integrates in it´s system principles of sustainable development as well as economy principles for the optimization of resources. • It’s equally in course the certification process in SA 8000, Social Responsibility.
