  1. Bellringer -Find your assigned seat -Rewrite the sentences in box two. Add commas where they are missing.

  2. Corrections Don’t forget to pack your clothes, tooth brush, and cell phone. We are going to eat pizza and chips, dance to our favorite songs, and stay up late!

  3. Rules for Serial Commas Lists of THREE or more items Commas between each ITEM Comma before conjunctions (And/Or)

  4. Partner Activity (16 Minutes) Take turns interviewing each other using the questions provided. Each response must include a sentence with serial commas. Therefore, each question must be answered with THREE different responses. Look at examples provided. Write COMPLETE sentences.

  5. Silent Writing Time Today you will decide what you want to write your memoir about (a person, place, item, or animal). You will answer each question in detail (use Ms. Brown’s model as a guide). When you finish, you can use the remainder of your time to complete the FANBOYS posters from last Friday.
