  3. Spay or Neuter your Pet! • There is a scarcity of homes for animals in Northwest Arkansas 5,000 HOMELESS PETS are Euthanized in NWA each year.

  5. Education is KEY!!!! This is EASY, there’s a natural connection between children and animals!! • Have a “Be Kind to Animals Week” in your school!!! • Invite a representative to speak from the spay/neuter clinic. • Invite a K-9 unit to come in and show working dogs. • Invite your local shelter to send a representative to talk with older grades about laws and the importance of spay/neuter • Hold a free shot clinic at your school for low income families. • Raise money to provide families with low income the cost of a spay or neuter. • Have a pet food drive at your school. • Sponsor a pet at the shelter. • Invite those who provide pet services to come in and speak about their careers.

  6. Adopt One Until There Are NONE! *Visit your local shelter and adopt a homeless animal!! *Volunteer to FOSTER an animal until a permanent home is found. Springdale, Fayetteville, and Rogers do this.

  7. Support new services that have come into demand moving animals from areas of low demand and high pet population to areas with high demand and less pet population.marthasmuttmovers.org
