  6. Volunteers • Make sure your volunteer information is up to date and you are approved to help out in our school!

  7. Lunch Money • As a green school we are encouraging parents to utilize the paypams site to prepay for school lunches.

  8. Common Core Curriculum • We will be following the Common Core State Standards for Reading, Writing, and Math. • The Sunshine State Standards will continue to be utilized for Social Studies and Science.

  9. Homework • Focus on Reading • 20-30 minutes a day • Math preview videos, math practice, and math fluency • Journal writing on various subjects

  10. Language arts • Reader’s workshop with open walls • Focus on independent reading and “just right” books • Book conferences • Working on comprehension skills through novels and non-fiction

  11. Language arts • Social studies will be integrated through language arts • Cold read tests (pearson and other resources) • Vocabulary • Reading logs

  12. Math • Assessments • Retesting policy • Flipped videos • Journaling (problem solving and vocabulary) • Gap between sss and ccs • Ixl.com
