A co-productive university • MDH has a long tradition and history of close cooperation with society and works strategically. • We offer contract education that is important for continuing professional development in the region. • Ericsson, ABB and Volvo are some of Sweden’s largest companies that in various ways have chosen to cooperate with MDH.

Strong research generates solutions • Close cooperation with research-intensive companies such as ABB, Volvo and Ericsson, but also with municipalities and county councils. • MDH has had third-cycle education with degree-awarding powers in Technology since 2001 and in Health and Welfare since 2012. • Technical research with cutting edge expertise, e.g. through Mälardalen Real-Time Research Centre (MRTC).

An international university • Agreements with universities in countries such as Thailand, The Netherlands, China, France and Tanzania. • Mälardalen International Master Academy - MIMA gathers MDH:s ten English language Master’s programmes. • Close cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Thailand in the third-cycle education.

  11. Environmentally certified • The first university in the world to be environmentally certified. • The first higher education institution in Sweden to be work environment certified.
