Ever since India got independence, the Indian Education System has undergone myriad changes and is still evolving with time. Several new policies, reforms, rules and regulations have been launched by the Government to improve the quality of education. Formal education is important as it helps children to shape their future and assists in making the quality of life better. The much-needed change required in the education system is to not only focus on the academic growth of a child but the overall development of the children. The balanced approach that aims towards learning through skill-based techniques and approaches can be highly beneficial. At present, the traditional schooling system has many loopholes that need to be addressed for a better and brighter future.

  2. OVERVIEW Ever since India got independence, the Indian Education System has undergone myriad changes and is still evolving with time. Several new policies, reforms, rules and regulations have been launched by the Government to improve the quality of education. Formal education is important as it helps children to shape their future and assists in making the quality of life better. The much-needed change required in the education system is to not only focus on the academic growth of a child but the overall development of the children. The balanced approach that aims towards learning through skill-based techniques and approaches can be highly beneficial. At present, the traditional schooling system has many loopholes that need to be addressed for a better and brighter future.

  3. TEACHER’S QUALIFICATION Before hiring teachers, it is very important to check their eligibility and qualification. The teachers must undergo an initial screening to adjudge their potential and should be provided with proper training sessions after the final selection. The future of children and our nation depends on the teachers. So it is of utmost importance to have trained and qualified teachers.

  4. SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE The standard school infrastructure is the most significant part of the education system. The classrooms must be well-lit, well-ventilated, organized and equipped with all basic infrastructural necessities. This will help children to focus on their studies without having to worry much about anything else.

  5. SCHOOL MANAGEMENT A responsible and proactive school management is the dire need for the academic welfare of the children. They must evaluate the syllabus and teaching pedagogies from time-to-time to help children stay abreast with the latest educational happenings.

  6. EXTRA-CURRICULUR ACTIVITIES Extra-curricular activities must be included in the syllabus along with academic subjects. Students must be encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities. The opportunities for growth and development must not be restricted to just classrooms; children should be motivated to try and learn new things alongside the educational curriculum.
