  2. 1) Online Directory public view Online Directory public view: • Easy to read search results • Search results are all mapped & listed • Public can look at each listing’s detailed view for driving instructions, links to their online world and much more • Public can search by direct Keyword Searches & NAICs descriptions in Regional Directories • Public can search by customized categories like Cultural Framework, Tourism Categories, Food Processors, Chamber Categories or Agricultural-Services in those Regions who also have established Sub-Community Directories • Mobile device accessibility

  3. 2) Business, Organization or Asset online features & secure access Business, Organization or Asset online features & secure access • Businesses or Listings have user friendly secure edit access to customize their free listings. • Businesses have many optional elements they can add to their free listings, including: logos, images, multiple web links (Facebook links, LinkedIn links, Youtube video links, Twitter profile links, websites, & blogs), driving directions, contact forms, adjusting their MapPin and more. • Listing owners can update their own information by logging into either their appropriate Regional or Sub-Community directory system.. this will automatically update all appropriate YLM public views and YLM datasets.

  4. 3) Regional Community & Sub-Community Administrator www.ylm.ca/hamiltoncity Regional Community & Sub-Community Administrator features & secure access All Approved Community Administrators can: • add businesses without having to log out of the system. • edit business listings right from the search results • request customized cluster-map services • customize their business directory home page using their own website’s RRS text or photo feeds. • arrange for optional PDF Matrix of Services Reports • arrange for optional Search History Reports for any Administrator • arrange for optional Pie Chart & Reports by Municipality within a Super-Region Regional Community administrators have access to: • all of the businesses, organizations and assets in their Region. • all of the YLM standard economic development Regional reports and features. • the system to download all the listings in various formats Sub-Community administrators have access to: • the businesses, organizations and assets in their region they identified as a part of their sub-community, • the system to add additional businesses, organization or assets to their sub-community. • appropriate reports and features for their sub-community. • Standard Cultural Sub-Community reports include: • Pie Charts of the Cultural inventory by the 6 Cultural Parent Category Framework • Pie Charts of the Cultural inventory by the Sub-Categories for each of the Parent Categories • Optional Sub-Community reports include: • Cluster Maps • Pie Charts by Municipality or Town by Sub-Categories within a Region or County. • Pie Charts of Sub-Categories for Tourism, Agricultural or other sub-communities.

  12. 2) Businesses Adding themselves • Listing owners can add their new listing to the Region at anytime. • The fill out this online form, then they receive a activation/validation email, once they click on that email, they can continue to upload their Listing’s information. • - YLM will review and approve that new listing within 48hours • If there are any questions to the appropriateness of a business, YLM will call the regional community administrator for direction. • - Sub-community administrators can review new listings added to their Region at anytime and, if appropriate, add them to their sub-community and then code them with their custom sub-community category codes. (Note: The sub-community can do this activity themselves or hire YLM to.)

  13. 2) Administrative Login • A Listing’s ID and Password, gives editing access to JUST their specific listing. • A Regional Community administrator’s ID and Password gives editing access to all of the listings in your region. Plus gives access to all of the standard Regional Reports and Features. • A Sub-community administrator, like Cultural, Tourism, a Chamber, gives access to only those listings you identified which belong in your sub-community. Plus gives access to all of a Sub-Community’s Standard Regional Reports and Features.

  16. 3) Community Directory Options http://www.ylm.ca/hastings • The entire regional community can have their own YLM directory, with their own custom look & similar public & business views. • Sub-communities within a region can have their own directory view.   18. 3) Community Administrative Login • A Listing’s ID and Password, gives editing access to JUST their specific listing. • A Regional community administrator’s ID and Password gives editing access to all of the listings in your region. Plus gives access to all of the standard Regional Reports and Features. • A Sub-community administrator, like Cultural, Tourism, a Chamber, gives access to only those listings you identified which belong in your sub-community. Plus gives access to all of a Sub-Community’s Standard Regional Reports and Features.

  19. 3) Community Administration Features • Administrators can edit individual listing’s information directly from the search results via their secure ID and Password. • YLM’s system will automatically update the data & reports across all YLM directories after any Administrator presses save.

  20. 3) Community Administration Reports NAIC reports: organized in real time, any listing in the system with a NAIC assigned to it. These reports drill down to 5 level of NAICs via pie-charts. The listings represented are only those which administrators’ have the rights to. (ie Region administrators represents all the listings in a Region, while Cultural or Tourism or Agricultural only to those which their administrators have identified as belonging to their sub-group.) Each business or organization can add or edit their own NAIC via their secure ID and Password, Administrator can add or edit NAICs for the database of listings they have access to via their secure ID and Password,. As there is one file in the system we encourage rules of engagement between administrators in a community. YLM can be hired to assign NAICs into a system as well.

The listings represented are only those which administrators’ have the rights to. (ie Region administrators represents all the listings in a Region, while Cultural or Tourism or Agricultural only to those which their administrators have identified as belonging to their sub-group.) Each business or organization can add or edit their own Employee Range via their secure ID and Password, Administrator can add or edit Employee Ranges for the database of listings they have access to via their secure ID and Password,. As there is one file in the system we encourage rules of engagement between administrators in a community. YLM can be hired to survey or purchase employee ranges and enter them into a system as well.

The listings represented are only those which administrators’ have the rights to. (ie Region administrators represents all the listings in a Region, while Cultural or Tourism or Agricultural only to those which their administrators have identified as belonging to their sub-group.) Each business or organization can add or edit their own Sales Range via their secure ID and Password, Administrator can add or edit Sales Ranges for the database of listings they have access to via their secure ID and Password,. As there is one file in the system we encourage rules of engagement between administrators in a community. YLM can be hired to survey or purchase Slaes ranges and enter them into a system as well.

  25. 3) Community Administration Reports- Directory Update Analysis, this report show the number of listings monthly who logged in through that specific directory to update their listing

  26. 3) Community Administration Reports- Directory Search Analysis, this report show the number times `search` was pressed on a specific directory in a month's time. Statistics show that a searcher looks at an average of 3 listings on every search, so, in this example, you would see that your directory connected the public to actually 14,352 listings in May 2010.

  27. 3) Cultural Administration Reports Cultural Category reports: organized in real time, any listing in the cultural database system with cultural category assigned to it. Only the Cultural Administrator has access to this Cultural Category Breakdown Report. Similarly, the Tourism Administrator has access to a Tourism Category Breakdown Report. Business nor organization canNOT add or edit their own Cultural Category, only the Cultural Administrator or YLM can. If a business or organization feels they are in the wrong category, they should contact their Cultural Administrator, as they are the authority. The Cultural Administrator can add or edit Cultural Categories into for the database of listings they have access to via their secure ID and Password,. These Categories have no impact in any of the other directories these listings appear in. For example, if a listing also happens to be in a Chamber and Tourism directory using YLM, they would have their unique Categories there, separate & protected from these. YLM can be hired to survey or assign Cultural Categories and enter them into a system as well.

  28. 3) Administrative Sub-Community Login • – Removing a Listing for a Sub-Community • A Listing’s ID and Password, gives editing access to JUST their specific listing. • A Sub-community administrator’s ID and Password gives editing access to all of the listings in your sub-community. You can also “Remove from Group” if that listing should NO longer be in your Sub-Group.

  29. 3) Administrative Sub-Community Login • – Adding To Sub-Community STEP 1 • A Listing’s ID and Password, gives editing access to JUST their specific listing. • A Sub-community administrator’s ID and Password gives editing access to an Advance Search which lets you search for businesses in your Sub-Community or the Entire Region..

  30. 3) Community Administration Optional Features • Directory PDF`s Table of Contents can be defined based on: • NAICs of all or part of the database • Customized Sub-Community Categories • Specified Lists (ie clusters) • PDFs are automatically updated quarterly & posted to your online directory • We Format: • Cover and header provided by administrator • Four column listings • TOC • Alpha Index • Link each listing to their detailed view http://www.ylm.ca/ylm/filters/c1/pdfs/421.pdf
