living labs user centric innovation
Living Labs: user-centric innovation
  • What?Create a research environment to investigate large groups of users over a longer period within their natural ‘use context’ in interaction with innovations.
  • Why?“because we are not getting close enough to the user”.
    • too much single moments or short periods of user feedback or
    • too often tested on a too limited scale or
    • too much ‘un-natural’ lab-environments, not accounting for contextual factors, social factors, and factors that are difficult to grasp by means of single moment feedback moments…
    • Research too often limited to the technology/application ‘an sich’, without taking the ‘global picture’ of the ‘value chain’ into account ….
living labs
Living Labs
  • Rationale? support the development and commercialisation of innovations as user-centric as possible. Fostering reliable and mature innovations by supporting:
    • concept selection
    • innovation development
    • choice of the right business model
    • the right pricing & communication
    • the tailoring of your offer to its market potential
