  3. Savanna Grasslands • The Savanna is a rolling grassland that is scattered with isolated trees and shrubs. • There are two different seasons a very long dry season that is winter, and a very wet season that is summer. • There are many different animals that live in this biome

  5. Savanna Grasslands • Animals that live in this biome include lions,zebra,and the endangered black rhino • It also attracts poachers that kill animals like the elephants and rhinos.

  6. Plants in the Savanna • The plants that are in this biome are mostly different kinds of grasses that can grow up to 9 feet tall.There are also some different types of trees like Acacia and Baobab trees.

  7. Soil in the Savanna • It has very dry rocky porous sandy soil

  8. Human influence on the savanna • Because the rich variety of wildlife it attracts many tourist to these areas and they kill much needed plants and they scare animals away from there migration areas. • It also attracts poachers that kill animals like the elephants rhinos and lions.

Weather • Savanna’s temperature is warm year round. • They have two seasons winter and summer. • In the winter they get about 4 inches of rain and in summer they could have 15-25 inches of rain. • The temperature in the winter ranges from 68-78 degrees and in the summer it ranges from 82-98 degrees. • The savanna gets so dry durning the dry season some animals actually die because of lack of water.

  12. Warnings • It gets so dry in the dry season that animals almost die because there no water. • Due to poachers killing rhinos and elephants there on the verge of going extinct.
