Product Overview • Automates Pick, Pack, Ship Process • Pick list presented via RF terminal • Pick and stage customer orders using RF devices • Rapid creation of Shipments • Interface to UPS, DHL, FedEx with update to COM of tracking number and freight charges • ‘Back Office’ screens provide order status and shipping functions

PPS User Success • Meco, maker and distributor of folding furniture and gas grills, was the prototype for RF PPS • The first 2 months of go live they set company records for dollar amount shipped Meco installed the new software in May of 2006 and proceeded to have two record months of shipping during the start up. Product Features Picking from the RF Device • Handles discretely allocated and non-discretely allocated items • Supports Kits • ‘Regular’ pick list or ‘Stock’ pick list allowed • Unguided picking: Random scan/key item from Pick List • Guided picking: Displays items in Pick List Print order • Consolidated XA pick list groups the same item from multiple pick lists. These can be picked simultaneously with RF • Multiple pickers can pick the same Pick List concurrently

Product Features Picking from the RF Device • View current item location quantities from the RF device • Adjust picking quantities from the RF device • Flexible insufficient inventory issue handling: • Hard halt, Warning only, Default to XA settings (allow negatives or not) • Manager approval is an option if quantity is over or under picked (depending on Control File settings)

Product Features Picking from the RF Device • Optionally, can pack into XA containers upon verification of Pick List • If Containerizing, automatic handling of unshipped items for backorder processing (can’t have zero shipped items in a container) • Standard Shipping Label or there is a User Exit to print your shipping label at pick time

Picking Flow 8/06/07 11:48:07 Pick List 344 1105 MOUSE Staging Location SHIP F5=View Stg Info • When Shipping Associate enters a ‘Quantity Picked’ a screen will ask for a ‘staging location’ • Shipping Associate enters a valid staging location (as predefined in the PPS Warehouse Master file) • A TW (Inter-warehouse Transfer) transaction is created in PM&C (TRDATA) to move the goods from the shelf location to the staging location

  12. Picking Flow • After the Staging location is entered, screen will return to the ‘Item Screen’ • Shipping Associate will have to press the F6 key to ‘Verify’ that the item is finished • If there are more items on the pick list, the Shipping Associate will continue with the next item

Product Features Office Processing Functions RF Pick Status Review: • Easily monitor picking activity • Current Pick Status • If Pick List has been verified, who was the user • Quantities required/picked, locations picked from • Staging location and Container information (if containerizing) • Remove a Pick List from RF

Product Features Office Processing Create Shipments for RF Pick Lists: • Rapidly create XA Shipments from RF pick lists using CISTECH’s Shipping Screen. • View information available in Pick Status review, plus: • Enter Carrier and Special Charge information • Automatically create Packing List and/or BOL • Automatically create invoice upon shipment create • View XA offline shipping errors • If containers are used, container must be shipped from XA Shipping Workbench screen

  18. Product Features Office Processing - Containers • Create Backorders for un-shipped items in containers • Can be run via menu option, or automatically at end of day.

Product Features Office Processing-UPS, Fedex, DHL • Program sends Pick List information to shipping system when staging order • Program performs shipping function for orders shipped by these carriers • Automatically retrieve/apply shipping information to shipments • Shipping Charges (depending on CO Sales Transport Codes) • Tracking numbers (Pro Bill#) • If more than one, creates shipping comments • Shipment weight • Set up to run automatically at end of day

Shipping Orders • If Containerization is active (and Carrier is not UPS, DHL or Fed Ex), then shipping is performed via XA Shipping Workbench • If Containerization is turned off, then shipping is performed via custom PPS shipping screen (utilizes COM Offline Shipping) • List of picked, verified orders is displayed • Ship 1 order at a time

  25. Prerequisites • XA R6 or R7 • COM and IM with the COM/IM interface active • PMC (uses TRDATA) • COM Shipping Workbench installed (R6) • Controlled Warehouse • XA license for each RF device • RF device for enabled for 5250 emulation

What’s coming in next release • Automatic shipment create during Freight Interface processing (non-containerization) • Allow entry of either item#, item turnaround, or UPC (non-Guided Picking) • Allow Packing List print when F6 is pressed to verify a Pick List • Allow Pick Lists to be assigned to RF Pickers (badge#) • Item Substitutions • F5 prompt to display pick lists available for picking at RF • Allow entry of Carrier information from the RF device
