Stem-Changing Verbs • *You’ll know it’s a stem-changer when theinfinitiveis followed by vowels in parentheses • Querer (ie) • *These are the vowels the stem will change to (usually the last vowel before the ar/er/ir ending). • *There are other types of stem-changers, but today we are focusing on e ie • *PLEASE NOTE: The rules about ar, er, and ir endings still apply! • The verbs conjugates NORMALLY—take off the ending and add the new endings. • Now you just have to change the stem too!
