  3. Ephesians • Seems to be a circular letter addressed to all the churches governed from Ephesus • No distractions of dealing with personalities or other controversies • Paul finally able to present a balanced, orderly theology: the most complete of all his letters

  4. Chapters 1-2 • Refers to the Church and the unity of its members with Christ as head Chapters 1-3 God’s plans are fulfilled in Christ and in the Church which is an extension of Christ through history
