  2. Background • Consulted with about 70% of the Industry • Views from Scotland down to Cornwall via Wales • Emails, conversations and site visits

  3. Positives • Improved quality of tree person – CPD • Nationally recognised qualification (unit 1,2 &5) • Greater ability to carry out work • National recognition – UAG is a professional Body • 4 categories of trees

  4. Negatives • Increase in zones – more complicated • Not all DNO’s recognises/use the new standard • Confusion over how to get reassessed – water is now clearing • 4 categories – more confusing

  5. Disappointments • Contractors still need DNO assessment • Not allowing Vegetation Contractors to do the whole job
